Well, I think the nesting instinct has officially kicked in.  I just spent the last hour straightening up my living room/ kitchen, as well as our bathroom, and plan to tackle the office later.  The office - the absolute last place Will and I ever go to.  There are papers all over the place that need to be filed, and I can't even tell you how awful ( Read more... )

Quick post: Our contract has been accepted on the house!  Now we have ten days to do the home inspection, etc. and we will soon be homeowners in Ogletree Village!

Chris and Amber had their baby yesterday!  We got a text at 1:35 in the morning saying they were on their way, and Emma Faith was born at 10:35.  She is beautiful.  Amber cracked me up, because when I got there around 8:45, she was sacked out.  You could sit and watch her contractions go up and down and she was sound asleep.  Apparently she woke up ( Read more... )

Baby has developed hearing!  Just in time for that new Jim Butcher book that came in the mail today :-)  So Will and I shall take turns reading to one another.  I figure the baby's gonna know my voice regardless as I spend all day talking while I'm at school, but that ends soon.  And I don't do much (any) talking while I'm home alone, so.... I forgot how much I love sweet tea.  I've drunk (drank, drinken - I SO can't conjugate that verb) so much sweet tea today that baby and I may never go to sleep again.  Sigh.  This is why I shouldn't stay home. 

Man, am I tired.  Standardized testing is totally taking it out of me.  I left early today to come home and take a nap, even after leaving early yesterday for my ultrasound!  Listen, why does no one tell you how much that sucker is gonna hurt?  Seriously.  Baby is definitely Will's and my child.  Like his daddy, he doesn't want his picture taken.   ( Read more... )
