I have passed my local fruit stand on trash day a few times and noticed some small wooden slat crates that used to hold fruit and herbs on the pile. I stopped by last week to see if I could have them and they said it wasn't a problem. They also agreed to hold four or five more for me this week ( Read more... )

Now this is a really neat idea. The crates might not last more than a year but while they do, they look good!
It also makes sense to do this when you consider how much large pots and planters cost these days.
