Simply Recyled

I have passed my local fruit stand on trash day a few times and noticed some small wooden slat crates that used to hold fruit and herbs on the pile. I stopped by last week to see if I could have them and they said it wasn't a problem. They also agreed to hold four or five more for me this week.
I was in need of a problem solving solution as my potted containers were getting dry, the plants were crowded and needed to be thinned and I also tend to knock them off the porch if the door swings open too quickly.
I stopped at the garden center today and picked up a few small plants to fill in some area. I also used weed blocker to line the crates so the soil would hold. I just used a basic potting soil then added some perlite and plant food.
After I finish making a small brace for them, I won't have to worry about the bins getting knocked over when the door flies open. Cleaner and more symmetrical now. Just my style.
