And don't forget that Edgar is creepy and violent. Just not rapey.
"Claire Bennet needs some time to think about my offer" Becuase threatening her dad and burying her alive to get out...or not, is a sure fire way to make her "see the [cult] light"
Yeah! Think about how differently Samuel would have played everything if he didn't automatically know everyone's ability? Because here, he's obviously playing for the long haul, expecting that Claire will live forever. Yet how does he know that? We've seen TWO canon characters who could heal wounds. Now admittedly they both did it to other people, but how does Samuel know Claire doesn't have the same power, and thus has a normal lifespan?
Now there's only a couple handfuls of carnies? To run a carnival? Ugh.
The fluctuating number of carnies bothers me, too.
Uh, maybe YOU'VE been told you were second-class, Sam, but everyone else seems normal (with abilities) ( ... )

Sam, however is at his creep zenith in this ep.
LOL to running out of budget. So true!

Yep pretty much. I'm going to contribute a link to some amusing fanart for that discussion:

Well, she has no car, apparently. How the heck did she even get there to start with?
I admire that Matt made the effort to fight them off even though he's surrounded.
It's really unclear what he's fighting for, though. While you could say he has reasons to distrust Samuel based on what Noah told him, it's not clear why Matt would go straight to fighting for his life. Eli's not even threatening him overtly and has done nothing physical. If I were Matt, I'd take Eli at his word and be agreeable, and start trying to figure out which one of them has a brain.
I want to know how Samuel would get approval to set up a carnival in the middle of central park at such short notice. I'm going to tell myself they have someone using their powers to push things through instead of a plothole on the part of the writers. He can't. Also, wouldn't it have sucked to find out there was some other event booked in there? Can you imagine the chaos that would have resulted ( ... )

Maybe the carnies took her car?

I just don't think I would be that clear headed and would have con with the freak out and stab something plan that Matt went with. I once nearly clocked a friend of my mom's when she wondered into the house without knocking and I thought I was alone.
Now I need to write a missing scenes fic where, after Doyle is down for the count and Emma is freed, she walks over and kicks him in the nuts before Sylar is able to stop her. :DDoooo iitttttt! That is definitely something I would read. I can see Sylar in my head telling her that ( ... )

And good point about Ed being pinned with Joseph's murder. Hmmm... Though I've given up on anything in the Carnival making sense.

The return of Charlie.
"It's a long story." They're talking in sync. That is so cute. I shouldn't find it as adorable as I do.
Did Sylar just spin Eli around for Peter without having to be asked? I just love this episode because it is so obvious how used to each other the two of them have gotten.
"That sounds like a plan I would come up with back in the day." That line doesn't fit. Sylar's never really been big on killing on a mass scale. He's always preferred to target people one at a time or in small groups. The closest I can come to Sylar target a large group at a time would be the alternate future where he was president and even then he was sending others to do most of his dirty work.

Yeah. First time I saw it, I thought it was another dream sequence because he was healthy too soon. His power is not regeneration! They just cut into his head and took something out. That's not something you just get out of bed the next day and run off happily after.

Yeah, and I love that part of it, too!

I agree. It would have worked better if Matt had said, "That sounds like a plan you would have come up with!" coupled with an accusatory glare at Sylar.

OMG yesyesyes to Sylar spinning Eli around. So awesome.
And I am so glad you said that about Sylar plotting mass destruction. That is so wrong. I thought so too.
