I'm glad that Matt is upset now. I'm also glad that Eli knows the plan. Because you can't orchestrate that sort of big reveal without allies.

"It's feudal" ha. I know he really said "It's futile". Samuel's punishment here is another of those 'so heinous I have trouble imagining the writers did that' things.

I like that there is some completion on Hiro's Charlie plotline, but I don't like it.

Noah, stop whining. It's unlike you. I don't like how they've rewritten his character. My vision of Noah would have him carefully walking Claire through the best way for her to escape, all the while knowing that his time is limited. And he'd be spending his last moments to minimize how long she suffers, because he knows he's dead either way.

"Five years"

You have such a lovely eye, Sylar. Eyes. I love that close-up. "That wasn't your heart" - a shifting goal. So cruel. And it shows on Sylar's face, the pain of being untrusted and reviled no matter what.

Now Edgar still thinks Samuel killed Joseph and probably thinks he had something to do with Lydia's death. So why's he hanging around?

Are you ever really sent away if you're always where you are?

Noah, have you forgotten about Lyle? Why does Heroes always forget about the kids who aren't there? It would take nothing but a line, or a few words, to honor continuity. Jeez.

And here we have one of the weirdest deux ex machina I've seen. But really, Heroes has lots of precedent for people being able to take others as ride-alongs with their ability. This one just ... seems pretty weird.

I don't think helicopters are all that fast, considering ... wait, where the hell are they?

I'm choosing to believe he's worried about Lydia's daughter and doesn't want to leave her there alone.

Yeah, that's a good point.

LOL! "Why?! So you two can run off and be superheroes together?" Like...that's a bad thing, Matt? Why so defensive? Feeling jealous and left out? Peter's eyes narrow like 'Are you reading my mind, perv ( ... )

"That sounds like a plan I'd come up with back in the day" Um...no. No, it doesn't. You were never a mass-murderer, you were a mass serial killer with specific goals. Killing "thousands of people" to "show off your power" was never in-character for you. So I reject that tacky-ass line, thank you very much.

igorina agrees with you, and so do I! As chairperson of the Remaining Heroes Fanfic Writers Coalition, I hereby agree that we can strike that line from canon. Moving on, now ...

"See, I can still push a thought" Cause we were real worried you couldn't. The whole incapacitating knee-dislocation had us in a tizzy. ::rolls eyes::

Well, it's not like he has many brains inside his skull. He's gotta keep them somewhere.

Claire....do you, like, not understand what an 'unwinnable' situation IS? "We have to find a way out of here" Yeah, but let's use our semi-college educated intellects for a moment and listen to the very obvious truth Noah is speaking. Reality just doesn't...factor in for her. She's completely hysterical here, which ( ... )

Charlie's back! This rewatch I can't help noticing all the decorations and pictures in her room. It's clear she has family. I also like the fact that her room has such warm colors in it. They're obviously trying to get the impression of a happy life and loving family here. I missed all this last time ( ... )

"I've repented." "...to redeem myself..." Sylar's dialogue makes me wonder if Gabriel was particularly religious before of if it's just the influence of his mother's beliefs coming through here.

Well, there was that S1 closet, which was scribbled with "Forgive me" and "I have sinned" over and over again in the font best known as 'Psychotic Sans".

I have a question about Doyle's powers. Does he have to know how to play the cello to direct Emma's playing or does his intent to make her play fine tune the movements?

I have no idea. And even if he can move her to produce sounds with the cello, how does he make her use her ability?

Why would the time traveling dude tell Charlie that he was a friend of Samuel's? She didn't even know who Samuel was.

Yeah, that jumped out at me, too. I was like, 'wait ...?'

Water appearing from nowhere turns into Tracy Strauss. I'm glad she can keep her clothing now when she does that.Oh yeah ... LOL! That would have been an awesome rescue scene, even if we just saw her bare shoulders and damp hair, and ( ... )

Oh god. I can't stop giggling as I picture their faces now. :D

I have nothing but questions about how anyone's power works anymore. How is Emma playing the cello or piano in the first place when all she can see is some visual approxiation of music? None of it makes any sense. :head desk:

Again so as with Tracy. Going through the hole is what made me think at first that she turned them into water too. But then we see them swim to the top, soo...

There's no harm in Hiro going back in time. It doesn't unmake history.

Emma has blood like maple syrup. Now we know why she's so sweet.

Why are Noah and Claire splitting up again? Makes no sense.

Love how close Sylar and Peter walk. "Trust me" Please. Someone needs to trust me.Why wouldn't Doyle be intimidated by Sylar? After all, he's been bested twice by him. I'd think that would call for some caution ( ... )

The Hiro plot dilemma turns on the idea that a different life is inferior. It's not. It's like the argument that if I could go back in time and change marrying my ex, I'd never have my kids. But you know, I might have other kids. I might have less misery. I might have more love and more space in my life to love my kids. It wouldn't be murdering them, because they'd simply never exist. Same if Hiro went back and changed Charlie's past.

You make a good point but there's still a voice in my head saying Charlie made the right call but I think that's because I wouldn't want to be married to Hiro. I may be biased because his storylines tend to annoy me.

Yes, if Hiro is a husband to his wife like he was a friend to Ando, then he's not much of a husband. I think Charlie made the right call.

OMG how the hell did Eli get there so fast?! ARgh!!!

Yeah, but Charlie loves her family and wants them to continue existing. She had a good husband, too, with good memories of that she doesn't want to lose. She has no idea if Hiro would be as good. Frankely, he seems a bit irresponsible and delusional IMO. I am totally happy with her giving Hiro a dose of reality.

And omg I totally forgot to comment on how awesome Emma was hitting Doyle. Fabulous! This is a pretty good ep for woman power. Not great, but good.

Claire, I'm sorry, but I wouldn't believe you either. What I *would* believe is the crap about him killing Joseph, and I'd have doubts about the whole Lydia thing. And the clincher would be Samuel's megalomaniacal behavior afterward.

How did Matt know what to command Eli to do? I guess maybe he could have given him a general command like, "Go stop Samuel's evil plan", leaving it up to Eli to decide how to do that.

Being a whole mile or so away wasn't far enough.

They could have done this big climactic fight so much better. And again I'm upset about how Samuel knows so much about these people.

For a little bit there, Peter had all the power Samuel did. Oh, heck, Peter just decked him! I'd forgotten about that. Go, Peter! Though I hadn't forgotten Samuel chewing on the scenery here, shrieking impotently.

Hm. That was an "A-yup" from Peter.
