Lauren is hanging out in the field because she apparently has nothing better to do.

Well, she has no car, apparently. How the heck did she even get there to start with?

I admire that Matt made the effort to fight them off even though he's surrounded.

It's really unclear what he's fighting for, though. While you could say he has reasons to distrust Samuel based on what Noah told him, it's not clear why Matt would go straight to fighting for his life. Eli's not even threatening him overtly and has done nothing physical. If I were Matt, I'd take Eli at his word and be agreeable, and start trying to figure out which one of them has a brain.

I want to know how Samuel would get approval to set up a carnival in the middle of central park at such short notice. I'm going to tell myself they have someone using their powers to push things through instead of a plothole on the part of the writers.

He can't. Also, wouldn't it have sucked to find out there was some other event booked in there? Can you imagine the chaos that would have resulted when he teleported his entire, intact carnival into the middle of a 'Shakespeare in the Park' event? I've never been to New York, but I get the impression that they use the hell out of their public spaces there. I doubt it's ever empty for long.

I'm glad to see that Peter's first action after getting out of the basement is to check on Matt's injuries. It's just so in character.

Me, too! Yay for consistency in characterization!

Edgar being sneaky and suspicious in the background. Isn't everyone at the carnival still thinking he killed Joseph? Or did Samuel pin that on Noah as well? I can't remember. Samuel's stupid plots are starting to run together.

No, they all still think he killed Joseph, but apparently they've forgotten.

Doyle being a huge creepy creeper. "I've always had a thing for blondes." I want some blonde chick to just kick him in the crotch.

Now I need to write a missing scenes fic where, after Doyle is down for the count and Emma is freed, she walks over and kicks him in the nuts before Sylar is able to stop her. :D

Maybe the carnies took her car?

I just don't think I would be that clear headed and would have con with the freak out and stab something plan that Matt went with. I once nearly clocked a friend of my mom's when she wondered into the house without knocking and I thought I was alone.

Doooo iitttttt! That is definitely something I would read. I can see Sylar in my head telling her that they won't mention that to Peter.
