so i never dressed up for halloween as a child. didn't trick or treat. never had to think about costumes and have only really dressed up once in my life, for halloween. i need suggestions for a costume. please help.

i am back in seattle from a really great trip to southern california. i saw grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother, sister and mom and dad (before they leave the country again). i also got to see two of my oldest friends. when you have known people for 18+ years, they are like family ( Read more... )

i gave blood today for the first time ever. they took like a pound of it. thankfully, they didn't reject my blood due to, too little iron (that tends to be a problem for me). i didn't feel light headed or anything afterward.

now my body is sending out little protein messengers letting the bone marrow know to make more RBCs.

ran a 10k race this weekend. the course was basically two laps around greenlake, which is awfully boring. dagmar_b came with and also ran. she was not feeling so well, but still finished decently ( Read more... )

went on a run from my neighborhood to capitol hill last night. it felt kind of sketchy in bits and pieces on the way down cherry from MLK and up 23rd to union. i ran from the mt. baker area to cal anderson and back on 12th to jackson and home again. it was maybe 6 miles. not something to do at night by myself. it is nice to realize how many running ( Read more... )
