Back to School
School starts again on the 23rd of September. That's about two weeks away. I wish I had all of next week off with no work at all, but I can't afford that. I am already filled with anxiety and the quarter hasn't even started yet. We have two days of clinical and two days of lecture this quarter. end of my first year, one more to go
I finished my first year of the nursing program at Seattle University. Spring quarter was definitely the hardest most draining quarter. It was all difficult, but not because the material was necessarily all that hard (well maybe pharmacology) it was just more like “we’re gonna break you down” hard. winter quarter
school has started again and with quarters you have to hit the ground sprinting. normally i will only have a lecture on monday and friday and my clinical on thursday evenings. that's right, i will be talking care of patients this quarter. holy !^@%#%@!! not just any patients, pregnant women and then their babies. we have what i am calling "baby ( Read more... ) -

running from mountain to sea
this past weekend i was a sub for the hood to coast relay. i found out that a team needed a sub only about two weeks before the race. i have been training for a marathon and thought it would be fine to participate. i have actually kind of wanted to run this relay since reading about it many years ago in runner's world magazine. it is a 197 mile ( Read more... ) -

so spacelabs has finally let me know they will not be keeping me as a part time employee. this means i need a job starting in september. i can not really afford school without some kind of part time job, or it's living in the car for me ( Read more... ) -
rodney on the roq
i am watching "the mayor of the sunset strip", finally. it is about rodney bingenheimer or rodney on the roq. rodney influenced my musical taste in a big way. i would listen to his show every week. he was the first to play nirvana in LA. the movie is kind of depressing though, but really interesting at the same time. if you are into music it is ( Read more... ) -
