costume ideas, help please

so i never dressed up for halloween as a child. didn't trick or treat. never had to think about costumes and have only really dressed up once in my life, for halloween. i need suggestions for a costume. please help.

I went as a keyan runner last year (no black face) but wore all my medals. My kenyan boys thought it was funny as hell.
