good you have 3 days off. i know you and your mom don't get along. but sometimes its good to swallow your pride and forgive for past hurts. i learned to do that when my mom first thought she had cancer. i wish you could get along with her. theres so many things id love to say to my mom and to be able to hug her. but the dead dont talk nor give hugs. i dont mean to be rude or sound like a bitch. but be happy you still have one parent. i have none.

*hugs*

I know that I shouldn't feel the way that I do but I can't control it. I try to forgive but it's hard. You don't sound like a bitch, you sound like someone that knows what they are talking about.

love ya

Wow, you've got a lot going on :( At least you get to go to the Renfaire though, I love renfaires, could just stare at the costumes all day. Hopefully that will help you relax a bit.

The instructor who runs my writing critique group said that there wasn't a woman alive who didn't have a complicated, convoluted relationship with her mother. Imagine a heavyset, strong-willed, loudmouthy forceful Ukrainian woman asserting that in front of our class, waving her pencil around ;)

You might like Mark Helprin's Winter's Tale - I've just started, it's fantasy about a group of traveling misfits in New York...sounds weird, but it's beautiful writing and lots of people gave it positive reviews back in the eighties when it came out.

I never been to the Ren Fest ever. It's going to be awesome though.

The image that I got from your descrpition was hilarious.

I'll have to look into that book. :-)
