There aren't anyone to actually like in this series. I've half a book left. I'm not sure if the story's becoming hysterical or I am, but this "epic" is starting to become a bit of a walking-tour of a fantasy world. It's also starting to bore me. Am now on Storm of Swords (700 pages, 500 pages, and this one...1000 pages?) I CANNOT STOP. Grow up, I want to tell the characters. Hurry on, time, and I keep reading. Word after word, it just doesn't stop. The story keeps going and very few odd literary critique thoughts pass and my head's full of a fantasy as I've never known. There's actually ( Read more... ) -

I had an overenthusiastic post draft somewhere on my other computer.
It's too late to post it now. I've about 250 pages left of the The Clash of Kings and it's all tragedy. One more book. I'm sure it'll be grim, which's as good a mood as any to face the Exam. Then, the last. Perhaps GRRM will offer reprieve? Highly unlikely ( Read more... ) -

The more I read of A Game of Thrones the more I'm impressed with the TV series. No wonder the Night's Watch at the Wall seemed like a teenage camp. It actually was one ( Read more... ) -

Just marathon watched seven episodes of Song of Ice and Fire. Have sympathies for everyone. In love with the opening credits. Fascinated with the politics. Disturbed by the amount of incest. May reconsider trying the books again.
