Bad news - everything is a-changing in my department at work. All the receptionist jobs on all the university's campus are being gotten rid of, in the place my and my co-workers job there will a more senior administrator who will be a grade 3. A first for me during this past week, I had an ECG done by a nurse at the doctor's surgery. Because of the serious heart problems that my Dad has suffered over the past few years, his cardiologist wanted us kids to have our hearts checked just in case. It's been a theatrical time for us recently. A couple of weeks ago, we went to see a play called Perfect Murder, which was extremely darkly humourous and was also a murder mystery that deconstructed the murder mystery. It's a new year, and it already feels so busy! I have done my first baking of 2014 - chocolate & peanut butter cookies, this time I got the baking bit right and they are not as hard as roof tiles, unlike last time! Our holiday starts here! Tomorrow, Anthony and I are off to Germany for a week in Anthony's favourite country in the whole world. My Stepdad-In-Law is back in hospital again - one of his legs has become badly infected. As long as it responds to antibiotics, then they won't have to amputate, but that's always a possibility.
