Fun fact, I've actually updated my WordPress site for the first time in months. I got myself in gear and posted an article about The Bourne Legacy which has been hanging around my harddrive for far too long. So if you're interested, the new article can be found
here.
Not so fun fact, I got terribly sick this past week and on the day of my work Christmas lunch too. So on Tuesday I woke up with one of my tension headaches and slight nausea, it still hadn't gone by Wednesday but didn't feel too bad so I went along to the lunch and found that I couldn't eat much at all. I managed some vegetables and my dessert but that was it. On my way out of the restaurant, I knew with that awful sudden certainty that I was going to throw up. Luckily, since I've begun having these irregular bouts of nausea, I've begun carrying a sick bag in my work bag - one of the Air Canada sick bags from the stash the lovely flight crew gave me when I was so ill on the way back from Canada. So I was able to throw up into that. I then stupidly insisted on going back to work with everyone else, who were all very sweet and worried about me, asking questions and offering suggestions for what I could do. At work I managed a few hours and threw up again, pretty much my whole lunch, until eventually I went home early, throwing up again on my way out to the bus stop. The bus took ages to get home thanks to a bus breakdown on a nearby road but when I eventually got home, I crawled into bed for a sleep and then into the bathroom for one more round of vomitting. My stomach is better now though still feels like I need to belch somewhat
I don't think this is linked to my usual irregular nausea and exhaustion as I don't normally throw up this much so I'm thinking it might be food-related. Maybe the new cheese I ate on Monday night? Or the festive chocolates? Hmm, well I'm keeping a food diary to try and work out any patterns when it comes to my nausea. And yes, I will be making another doctor's appointment in the new year to chat about this again and hopefully find some answers, also I want to soothe my worried parents and husband. Maybe the iron pills haven't kicked in completely effectively yet, or maybe this is part of the bad side effects that can happen. Urgh. Pray for answers and a peaceful stomach, I want to enjoy the culinary side of the festive period!
