Okay, so Stepdad-in-Law's surgery went well yesterday by all accounts. His leg was taken off without any complications. Mum-in-Law contacted Anthony to let us know that Stepdad-in-Law was in a bit of pain and was a bit sleepy but was cracking jokes as usual. So this is good news. His heart and kidneys coped. Vital ask for prayer! Stepdad-in-Law is back in hospital again. Tomorrow morning, he will go into surgery and get his other leg amputated. As this one will be amputated above the knee, unlike the other leg, his reaction was 'I won't match now.' It honestly takes more than a double amputation to throw him. May baking. I am still on a biscuit kick so I made some orange crisps, which are sugary orange-flavoured biscuits and they taste lovely. I am feeling blessed because I had a really good weekend in Cornwall recently. I hadn’t visited there since November and haven’t seen my parents since Christmas so I really was due to visit. This is a call for all kinds of good vibes. My husband's stepdad is back in hospital and is in critical condition. At one point, we were told that if the current course of action doesn't work out, there's no plan B. I should have posted this last weekend but this week seems to have fallen on top of me rather heavily. So last weekend, I did some more baking, trying out another new recipe. A first for me during this past week, I had an ECG done by a nurse at the doctor's surgery. Because of the serious heart problems that my Dad has suffered over the past few years, his cardiologist wanted us kids to have our hearts checked just in case. Good news! I did more baking and produced a batch of snickerdoodles which my husband has greatly appreciated.
