Back from a few lovely relaxing days in Cornwall. It was the first time I’ve been back since early this year so it was marvellous to soak up my hometown and complete relaxation. My parents wanted to see me and I wanted to see them and Anthony always enjoys Cornwall. We had a good few days there.

It's been a magic few days. I do love spending time at my parents' house - the house I grew up in - even though it's a cold place so I always catch a cold and end up sneezing the whole time. Argh, time keeps getting squished and I never seem to have enough time to write, fiction or blogs. My job is crazy-busy but I'm enjoying it. I'm trying to get my pension sorted - getting the benefits from my previous pension scheme into my new one. I have returned, after a few breathtakingly sunny and picture-perfect days with my parents back home. Sadly my Mum was seriously ill while I was there - she got bitten by an insect and she reacted badly - her arm swelled up and gained a horrible angry red rash and she just felt completely wiped out and nausea. I'm back! What a busy few days. My Mum's 60th birthday has been so thoroughly celebrated, that she has declared it the best birthday ever. Hurrah! There was an afternoon tea party on her actual birthday, for which many batches of cupcakes were made and iced. We had cupcakes coming out of our ears by the end of it. I've been absent for some time from LJ. Well, for some time for me. The reason is very simple - my laptop stopped working. The motherboard committed suicide. And we're back home. I've got a purpling knee thanks to a fall on Monday when out walking with folk. It was a wet muddy walk and a lot of fun as always. We headed to the church lounge afterwards for packed lunch and long chats. I miss those people a lot when I'm away.
