"I-I'm so glad I have you," Julian whispered, lifting his head to look up at Nicolas through his tears. "I don't know what I'd do if it wasn't for you..."

Sniffling, Julian leaned his forehead against Nick's shoulder and wiped at his tears, only to find that they just continued to leak from his eyes. Giving up, he clenched his hands in Nick's shirt and scooted even closer to the other boy. "I love you..."

At that, Julian burst into tears again and buried his face in Nick's neck, clinging to the other boy as he sobbed.

Julian nodded weakly and sniffled again. He could feel tears starting to well up in his eyes again, and he sighed shakily. "I-I hope I can be... It's going to be so hard..."

Izumi raised her hand weakly to stroke Julian's cheek. She looked thin and drawn, her eyes more sunken in than anytime she'd been sick before. The skin around her mouth and her lips were tinged pink from all the blood she'd been coughing up.
