I come back from a week of "holiday" without internet, and discover that my speculations were about right.  I have four pages of backed-up emails in my inbox from fanfiction-dot-net.  Reviews mostly, a few chapter updates scattered here and there.  Yikes!  It's gonna take me a while to sort this out!

Well, tomorrow I leave for Melbourne, will be there for about a week.

It doesn't feel like Christmas is really as close as it is.  Maybe that's because, since we'll all be spending Christmas away from home this year, the tree isn't up.  I don't know.  It's just not as Christmas-y in town as it was last year either, I think.
