Two fics in three weeks? Yay me! :)

( Jack’s still surprised by how not flustered she is. If anything, she’s acting like this is all old hat, which he has trouble believing. Surely his by the book, rule-abiding 2IC isn’t in the habit of getting pulled over by the police? )

Wonderful teamy goodness!

I can see Sam pushing the speed limit, especially on her motorcycle. I would imagine, though, that (a) the USAF, like most employers, would frown upon a bad driving record, (b) her insurance rates would start to be astronomical (pun intended) after a couple of tickets inside a 3-year time frame, and (c) if Colorado is anything like California, too many tickets within a certain time frame - like more than 2 in a year, you may just get your license yanked or at minimum be forced to take a safe driver course.

Glad you liked the teamy goodness! I admit I didn't do a whole lot of research on this one - I wanted to write teamy fic, not wade through a bunch of state traffic laws ( ... )

In my head, it goes like this: Sam gets pulled over a time or two going too fast either for fun, or because she's had a bad day and she just wants to get the heck out of dodge. A time or a dozen, she gets pulled over racing back to the SGC for an emergency...

Jack realizes she’s not flirting; she’s just being herself without any of the restraint or decorum the Air Force usually imposes on her behaviour.

Oh. My. Gracious. I just absolutely adored this. It was so cute and wonderful and lovely in so many ways. Perfect team dynamic/characterizations from all of them. Just wonderful... *sigh*
