( Jack’s still surprised by how not flustered she is. If anything, she’s acting like this is all old hat, which he has trouble believing. Surely his by the book, rule-abiding 2IC isn’t in the habit of getting pulled over by the police? )

This is a great little vignette! I wasn't surprised at the speeding (well, the title might be responsible for that), but at how chummy Sam was with the officer? That gave me a big grin!

Carter drives the way she flies. She can push her machines to the limit but maintain such precise control that anyone not paying very, very close attention would never realize how precariously close to out of control things really are.
He likes that about her.
Oh, this. Lovely charaterization of Sam and of Jack too. I really, really like this take on their relationship!

Jack realizes she’s not flirting; she’s just being herself without any of the restraint or decorum the Air Force usually imposes on her behaviour.
And not a side of Sam we get to see often enough in fandom either!

“May I remove the sock now, Major Carter?”

The whole thing ends on a lovely note. I really do love the team and the loving way you've written them!
