I saw Rocky Balboa with Shana, and I must say...what a good movie! It's a fitting, poignant, final chapter for this venerable series. Picking up the pace
I saw Casino Royale yesterday with my old friend Curtis. Last time I saw him was May 2005 to see Star Wars-Episode III. Casino Royale was pretty good. A bit long, though--the poker might have stood some editing down, but still, I liked it. New Bond is not as good as old Bond, Pierce Brosnan, but Daniel Craig isn't bad at all.

Three people cancelled on us due to illness, but it was still cool to meet some people from lala tonight. Shana was unable to go, but maybe that was for the best considering how few people showed up. Eragon: Yay or Nay
The problem is that Lord of the Rings has really ruined all other serious fantasy movies that can't match up. The Chronicles of Narnia was good enough not to come across as fairly lame. Eragon? Storm's a brewin'
The dime-sized hail began to drum against the roof of the building where I hang out between my hourly patrols at work. This followed earlier flashes of lightning and thunder. This marks a rare occurrence here in Los Angeles--a thunderstorm. It's nice to get some weather, and the rain allows me to forego patrolling, which I heartily endorse.

Is it really Christmas again?
I can't believe how fast 2006 has gone. I used to complain how slowly time passed as a kid...and now I have the reverse problem. Time passes too quickly! This is why I want to live forever...the faster time seems to pass subjectively for me, the more precious time becomes, and the more I want.

Early Christmas?
I had the BriteSmile procedure done Thursday morning, the 21st. It was unpleasant sitting there for 80 minutes while that stupid blue light was shining on my gel coated teeth, but damn if it wasn't worth it. My smile is so white now, it's ridiculous. So that's what a root canal is like
Turns out my appointment yesterday was for the root canal...and I guess the cavities come next. The dentist numbed me up pretty well, so I didn't feel any pain during the procedure. I just felt the pressure as he drilled into my molar, removed the old filling, and then performed the pulpectomy. I got a temporary filling and go back on the 20th ( Read more... )
