READLING LIST 2010
i finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets today in a marathon session at the coffee shop. i did not intend to stay there that long, nor did i intend to finish the book today. at this rate i'll be finished before june. this is a good thing. i enjoyed this book even more than the first. i've probably already said this but, i totally ( Read more... ) -
SNOW, SNOW, AND MORE SNOW
i'm officially tired of it snowing. we've received at least an inch every day (it's more like 2 to 3 a day) for over a week. tonight and we're supposed to get 2-4 inches and another 2-4 inches tomorrow during the day. depending on who you listed to we could get 2-4 tonight and only 1-3 during the day tomorrow and another 1-3 friday night. amazingly i have managed to finish the first harry potter book already. on to book two. it is a rather engaging story and i totally understand those people who read each new book from cover to cover the day, or over the weekend they got their hands on the book. book two is about the same length as the first one. then the start getting rather long ( Read more... ) -

the patching went o.k. not fantastic, nor a disaster. it needs to be sanded and touched up. i'm not a professional plasterer so i have to patch walls in steps. it gets the job done, and save me the time, trouble, and money of having to "get a man in" (my coupling reference for 2010 ( Read more... ) -

the squid started to get back to removing the wallpaper from the dining room. she also decided that the old chair rail needed to be removed. she thought that meant taking two small pieces off in the corner in which she was working. it ended up being two small-ish pieces and one rather long 10-12 feet long piece. in removing the first piece around ( Read more... ) -

i've wanted to read the harry potter books for a bit, but i have so much other reading to catch up on that i keep putting it off. no longer. this year i am going to read all seven harry potter books. i'll also start a supplemental reading list this year and make it a tradition. hopefully i can continue to get though all my initial reading list ( Read more... ) -
