Fairly late last year R and I decided to become "Friends" of the British Museum. We go to see practically all their exhibitions anyway, and when you tallied up all the prices of admission, it was very close to the cost of an annual joint membership. Add in some of the other small "perks" and it was really quite the no-brainer for us

If you're friends with the british museum, do you get to pass out on it's couch when you're drunk and the tube isn't running any more?

Sadly, the members' room closes when the museum does - however, I just learned that the children's membership includes several sleepovers for them and up to two adults. Guess what a certain god-daughter is definitely getting when she gets big?
