Snow soundproofs everything. That is why I find the outside so agreeable right now. It's silent.

It's in the neighbourhood of -28ºC outside (with the windchill, of course). This is Slave Lake weather. Evil. My patio door has ice all over the inside. John, the Cat and I have retreated to the bedroom, where the heat is up. We only leave for food or warm showers and never venture into the terror that is the icy livingroom.
