Taking the stage first, Cadie had given his CD to the sound guy and didn't need the piano. Grinning, he took the mic and tried to hide the mischievous twinkle in his eyes from Kurt.

A moment later the music began and he opened his mouth to 'sing'.

It didn't take him very long though before he stopped and began to laugh, amused. Shaking his head, he signed, *I'm Cadie, Kurt, can you translate?* He knew Kurt could see what he was saying.

Kurt was almost unable to contain his mirth. He raised his hand to his chest. *Such a Ham* He giggled and finally sopke up. "I'll translate. I'm Cadie." Kurt did his very best 'Cadie' voice.

*I couldn't help the joke. I am the ultimate lip-syncher though. Ask Kurt,* he explained, going to get his electric cello from the other side of the piano and handing Brad some sheet music. *I play cello, guitar and bass, violin and piano. I just don't sing.*

With that, he took a seat and began to play, this time performing much more seriously.

Kurt translated diligently. He knew how important it was for the words to be Cadie's and not his. None of his usual 'unique' turn of phrase colored the comments. He sat back down, basking in the beautiful cello. Really Cadie was enthralling.

Sebastian strutted over to Brad and handed his sheet music over to the man. He whispered a few things to him about the key and then took his spot center stage and looked out at the current members of New Directions. His cocky grin turned up the corners of his mouth.

"Hello, I'm Sebastian Smythe and I'll be singing Giants in the Sky from Sondheim's Into the Woods." He took a deep breath and signaled to Brad to start playing.

Mercedes coudn't help but thing Rachel would have a lot to say about this Sebastian guy. He had that same gleam of superstardom in his eyes that she did. He wasn't bad though. She gave him a polite round of applause as well, not wanting to be rude since she had done so for the cellist.

There was something about this guy's attitude that irked Tina. Maybe it was that he sort of reminded her a little bit of Rachel. That being said though, he could definitely sing and they really needed members if they wanted to be able to compete. When he finished singing, she clapped for him, glancing around trying to guess what everyone else was thinking.

Frowning, Rachel made an effort to remain impartial to Sebastian's audition. It really was a pity his attitude could have the potential to take away from his talent. She was thankful she didn't suffer from the same affliction.

Jotting a few notes down next to Sebastian's name, she made sure to underline the need for him to show more of his range. His choice of audition piece was not without it's theatricality, and that did work for him, so Rachel placed a small lopsided star next to his name.

Mike bit his lip as he walked onto the stage. Was he really going to this? Yeah, yeah, he was. He walked over to Brad and mentioned the song he'd be singing before going to center of the stage. He squinted his eyes against the bright lights and spoke into the mike.

"I'm, um, Mike Chang. And uh...I'm gonna sing...and dance to Cool. The one from West Side Story."

With a nod and a deep breath, he launched into his routine.

Mercedes was inwardly flailing. Where on earth did he learn how to dance like that? Oh he definitely had her vote. He got serious applause from her, they definitely needed more strong dancers to make up for poor Finn's lack of dancing finesse.

Tina bit the inside of her lip when Mike got up on stage and crossed her fingers. *Come on, Rink. You can do this.* She thought, silently urging him on. She felt nervous. Maybe because she knew Mike was nervous about having to sing. Maybe because she knew that even though he'd agreed to audition that he was hesitant about joining Glee club ( ... )

Mike felt so relieved when he finished his routine without incident. He scrambled to his feet and gave a bow. He caught sight of Tina and grinned back at her. He mouthed his thanks and got off the stage, smile still plastered on his face.

Santana walked on the stage behind Brittany. The blonde seemed really excited and couldn't stop bouncing. Santana felt her stomach drop. She wasn't nervous. Please, these losers would be lucky to have her and Britt in their stupid club. It was more that her stomach was souring at the thought of how this was like complete, social suicide and she was so damn lucky she had intimidation and her Cheerios uniform to fall back on. Otherwise she'd probably be greeted with a slushie facial come Monday. She kind of wished she'd worn her uniform for this, but Brittany said they'd move better in their half shirts and pants, and Santana agreed. Plus, they looked smokin' hot ( ... )

Brittany may have been bouncing on the balls of her feet, but it was one hundred percent down to excitement, without a trace of nerves. She was going to do what she was best at, what she loved the most, and as long as she could remember the words to the chorus then she knew they were going to do great. Santana had an amazing voice, and combined with the expert timing they'd learned together between dance classes and the Cheerios, they would be perfect on stage. If there was one thing she'd figured out from their first performance, it was that the Glee Club really needed some good dancers.

She nearly lost her timing as Santana began to sing, because she was so distracted by the sound of her voice, but she fell back into step at just the right moment and began to feel the flow of the music through her, smiling out at the Glee Club as she danced. They had this in the bag, and she knew it.

Cheerios? Auditioning for Glee? Mercedes wasn't even sure if they were serious or they were just going to punk them all. She didn't know they girls' names, but even without their uniforms she knew they were on the squad. She did try to keep an open mind though, because if they were being serious, they were putting their reps on the line. Of course, that made her wonder why in the hell they would do that when they had the trifecta of girl passes. Pretty, skinny, and popular.

The brunette could sing pretty damn good, which would probably make Rachel squirm. Both were flawless with the dancing, which was a given seeing as they were cheerleaders. Once the duo finished she applauded, cutting her eyes over at Rachel to see what her expression would be.

Well. Artie crossed his arms over his chest, frowning. There was no denying the talent, but still. Santana. No. Do not want. He knew he should be fair. He should do the right thing. He didn't want to.

Glaring, he waged an internal debate, though he was pretty sure that he was really just looking for an excuse. A justification. He wasn't mean like Santana though, no matter how much he wanted to be.
