I was talking to a woman on the bus the other day (I don't know what it is with me and random bus conversations, but this one lasted from the City to Algester) when she said, 'Life should just be one big dot point.'

On the subject of gap years...
I'm going to put this out there. When I toyed with the notion of a gap year? Joining the defence force for a year would have been right down there on my list of options, assuming it made it on there at all. And yet, that's one of the options that they're talking about to try and deal with the shortage on the 'frontline ( Read more... ) -

Something I stumbled across while looking for something to use in my COMU assignment. It's a spoof of The March of the Penguins, and it's been filmed at my university (UQ). Very, very funny. Apparently penguins aren't the only endangered species!
