Something I stumbled across while looking for something to use in my COMU assignment. It's a spoof of The March of the Penguins, and it's been filmed at my university (UQ). Very, very funny. Apparently penguins aren't the only endangered species!
A note for the unknowing, 'RE' is short for 'The Regency Exchange', a club near the uni. It's usually one of the first hit in any of the UQ pub crawls.
There are so many things I love about this. That so many of them are wearing thongs (flip-flops). The incredibly serious voice-over and theme music. The lone female. The fact that I know some of these guys have never laid eyes on any of them in my life.
Here's where we pretend that I'm not thinking of using this in my assignment. Eh, to hell with it. Might as well go out with a bang, right? This and
Douglas Adams will at least make me appear unique and distinctive amongst a cohort studying Steve Irwin and examining cultural theories of celebrity.
