Sounds delicious! We are still enjoying Neil's backyard plum jam from this summer.

I don't eat a ton of jam nowadays so it's just the right amount, too. And yum, backyard plum jam!

We go through these (http://www.nutsonline.com/driedfruit/pluots.html) in about a day and a half. They're like crack. Wonder what they're putting IN pluots these days. Pluotonium?

They are pluoperfect! Er.

I get some dried ones too and yes, so good! I have to ration them.

Are GF English muffins any good? That seems... almost impossible.

They are better at being English muffins than most GF bread is at being bread. Which is to say they toast up well and have little pockets for butter to seep into, about what I ask for in an English muffin.

It occurred to me after I asked that they're probably not bad toasted. I always forget that I'm the only person I know who eats English muffins un-toasted.

Yes!

Now I want to start making up fruit. Have you tried bananalets yet? How about rangpur limes?

Sadly, the honeydew nectarine I had yesterday (which was awesome) just concatenates the "fruit it looks like" and "fruit it is." No Nectadew for you!

There is totally a nectaplum, though! (And it is delicious.)

I do admit that my logical brain gets cranky about fruit that is named after a fruit it completely is not, such as the aforementioned rangpur lime, which is orange in color and not I believe descended from any actual limes. It does taste more limelike than anything but I think it's a variant mandarin.
