Pluots!

I've been absolutely scarfing the pluot jam that I received from aelfsciene!tamago. I didn't lift a finger to preserve *any* pluots this year despite my normal love for them, because the pluot stalls are always rather busy and I've been tired when I shop, so this jam, a wonderful consistency and balance of sweet and tart, is a particular treasure. Are GF English muffins any good? That seems... almost impossible.

They are better at being English muffins than most GF bread is at being bread. Which is to say they toast up well and have little pockets for butter to seep into, about what I ask for in an English muffin.

It occurred to me after I asked that they're probably not bad toasted. I always forget that I'm the only person I know who eats English muffins un-toasted.

For English muffins and bagels both, I put them in the toaster before cutting them so that the insides are warm and soft when I cut them open. More "heated" than "toasted," but still enough to soften the butter. Makes it hell to
