I LOVE THE HELPFUL LITTLE ARROWS. A++ MOVE RIGHT THERE.
Also epic lols. I didn't really claw my eyes out from this costume mostly I just went "Ah, I remember those" but still they totally deserve a place in this picwar. Hmm what to go off into next. Rainbow perhaps! Since there are rainbow bits on their costumes. But with what......hmmmmm......
Anyway I am only here for a quick second cos I'm about to run off into the snow (yay snowing) but yesh awesome possum pick! :DDDD
SNOWWWWWWWWW! \o/flange5November 23 2008, 00:04:15 UTC
SNOW!!!
That's awesome! I'm happy it's not snowing here, because the cold makes me really stiff (at least it did yesterday--today I'm huddling inside ^_^ But it 's 12C here, 55F. Winter, what winter?? *__*
I'm glad you liked the arrows! I was going to do more but got lazy ^^"
I was worried that they were too familiar, but somewhat like the Thanksgiving Ya-Ya-Yah thing, what's really amazing is the amount of care and thought that clearly went into making this. Also, the weird scene of the juniors worshipping Arashi as they're raised on a pedestal . . . *___*
Also . . . the details&hearts Always going to be one of my favorites, I think. Especially with all the swishiness of the costumes and the really adorable Sakuraiba moment. And . . . I kind of love Jun's coat, and Sho's dress and Nino's bellydance skirt thing and dangly cat toy balls and Aiba's . . . everything and Ohno's jacket of swooshiness&hearts So I guess I love it a lot.
RAINBOWS ALWAYS WIN!!
Enjoy the snow. I am about to fend for some dinner ^_^
Re: SNOWWWWWWWWW! \o/flange5November 23 2008, 00:10:55 UTC
ooooh! Are you going to post them?
. . . mountain?
Why do I always live in flat places??
I look forward to your next offering!!
I hope I will get my snow in when I visit the 'rents for christmas. It'll certainly be very cold . . . but I'd rather less cold and more snow. It apparently only very rarely gets cold enough for it to snow here and almost never cold enough long enough for snow to actually stick on the ground. So I will have to travel for snow.
Wow, you really went to town with the capping here! And you love you little arrows and in-pic labels, huh?
But excessive capping does help to point out all the little details. I think I had not noticed the burro on Sho's tunic thing before, for example. What the hell?
Though, are you sure that thing on Jun's belly is a flower? It looks quite a bit like Cthulu, doesn't it?
I love that "Nooo!" hands are part of the dance. &hearts
And Nino totally looks like he's summoning his demon brethren in that shot about 1/3 down that's all yellow-lit. Also &hearts!
I sometimes wonder how they can manage to put on costumes with so many dangly bits without tucking some of them into their pants, or getting them tangled around limbs, or strangling themselves. Especially given the speed at which they have to change.
Wow, you really went to town with the capping here!
You have no idea ^^" I used a little over half of the caps I took. I'm serious. It was a little obsessive.
II IS NOT CTHULU. CHRYSANTHEMUM!!! ^_^ no evil squidface *shudders*
The burro is pretty awesome. I have no idea what's going on. There seems to be some continental miscegenation going on in this thing. Just sayin' . . .
I so did not get any work done today. neck, head, ribs, back shoulders >_< meh
Though the calf got somewhat better, so maybe it'll have mostly worked out by monday ^_^
I love that "Nooo!" hands are part of the dance. ♥
Me too! I kind of felt they needed to be mentioned, even tangentially ^^" They were so cute ^_^
And Nino totally looks like he's summoning his demon brethren in that shot about 1/3 down that's all yellow-lit.*snrk

Well, I guess I was locating it in South America somewhere. The geometric stuff and the vest-like cut of some pieces. But Nino's waist-wrap with coin trim is pretty gypsy (but gypsies travel, right?). Anyway, I wasn't finding the burro that out of place in Paraguay, just odd since they don't usually represent living beings on their concert clothes (except Jun's La Familia shirt, but Jun violates all sorts of rules with his clothes).
But now I don't know why South America, really, since there's so much other stuff to locate them in, say, Africa. Or maybe one of the planets in the new galaxy.
I think Nino's 'concert concentration' look is pretty similar to 'pissed.' Or at least, he strikes me as 'concentrating' in this performance.
I am still up at 3 am. Just finished Rookies. Zowie.
But . . . movie! It was really cute. I was dumb, though and deleted, and I wold probably rewatch, which means re-download ^^" Oh well.
It probably is just concentration face, but it's so funny to see him scowling and grimacing, especially when addressing the crowd. It cracks me up ^_^
I keep waffling between South America and Africa. I don't know why . . .
Nino's little coin-wrap cracks me up, mostly because I didn't even notice it until after I started capping it, and usually, that's the kind of detail I would zero in on but there's. . . just so much to notice with these.
But yes, they are amusing costumes ^_^
I have so many dishes to do T__T I think I will just have to eat breakfast first . . . At least it's a short teaching week.
. . . we haven't even started cleaning for the houseguests yet >_
Ooo . . . maybe I should watch it then! VS Arashi is probably the easiest to watch without subs, though they do thave that habit of talking over each other, which makes it harder to figure out. I just watched the one with Aiba's senpai, which was pretty adorable, first because Aiba and Jun were pretty much falling all over themselves to help out the competition, and also because there was some fairly amusing Sho-baiting which was cute. Also Ohno is really good at cliff climber *__* so maybe I will do that! Though I have some shopping and baking left to do today, and then cleanup ^^" Since we have houseguests come Thursday, I'm trying not to leave messiness behind me
( ... )
Ah! I have seen the hair, and it is much better! also 400pt falling pipe \o/ I just wanted to hug him, he looked so happy ^_^ (or was that a different ep? They're starting to blur^^")
How is brother-vasion going for you?
I will now contemplate doing some dishes. Boy won't get home for another hour and a half >_<
Oh lord, and those shirts were hilarious. Not quite sure why everyone but sho matched, but I kind of want Ohno's shirt ^^" It was awesome.
It has been a very long day! *slumps* At the end of a very long week!
My brother finally has internet access of his own, starting today. *cheers* Fighting for access of your own computer is tiring!
Laughalot returned home yesterday! *hands out party hats*
I've been so busy this week, that I've actually been sleeping at night. You know like normal people do! It makes me feel rather odd. I have no work until Monday, so I plan to return to my usual schedule of vampire hours
( ... )
I like these costumes. Not in a they're-awful-but-cute-in-their-awfulness, I really like them. They remind me of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Technically I know they're not any better than the other colorful, dangly, skin revealing costumes, but still I think them fundamentally different. I don't know why. Maybe because they're current costumes. (They're from AAA, right? The yellow and purple indicate so.) Still, the show around belonging to it (jungle and worshipping) is ridiculous. Though I'd get on my knees in front of them. If they asked nicely. While making out.
Oh no, that sounds like a horrible week! Getting ill and getting mugged! I hope you'll get better soon (but continue to not needing to do housework and getting lots of hot chocolate).
Actually, these are quite old--Iza concert, so . . . 2004, I think. But they are very yellow and purple ^_^ Iza is great for the cracky costumes ^_^ And it feels like Iza is the concert where you first really start to see them gel as a group with all the affection ^_^ So I have a lot of affection for it&hearts Not hat How's it Going? isn't wonderful, because it is--but there's almost no real interaction between the members, which feels off now ^^"
I like these costumes too, actually. I make fun of them, but Jun's coat is kinda sweet! And the back of Aiba's jacket is really intricate and cool. ANd you can actually dance in these and they swoosh around in cool, hard-to-follow ways.
And as much as I make fun of Sho's dress . . . it's kind of nifty. And Ohno's jacket, too . . . And while the fringy stuff on Nino's midriff was a bad call, I think, the rest of the outfit is fine . . . so, for what it's worth, I actually like these . . . despite the whole "OMG cultural imperialism, you did not just have vaguely ethnic-ized

It's a good costume in some ways hehe.
I almost want to do Eito Rangers because it's so rainbow but the costumes aren't really that bad. But maybe I'm used to them :P
Have good dinner!

That was disjointed. But why be coherent?
