My own personal canon.

I'm not one for memes, but this one looks fun. If you give me a character or a pairing, I'll tell you five-ish things that are a part of my own personal canon about him/her/them*. BtVS, AtS, Firefly, SGA, SG-1, due South, Sports Night are all up for grabs. Did I forget a fandom I've written (if not posted) in? Try me ( Read more... )

fic: sports night, fic: all my fic, fic: angel (ats), fic: stargate atlantis (sga), fic: firefly, fic: buffy the vampire slayer (btvs), fic: stargate sg-1

Oh, I like #2 and #5 in particular. I also think that Dana knows that #2 is true, or else they'd be together. The dating plan was stupid, but I think that Dana knew how stupid it was and that it would probably end their relationship, even if she wanted more than anything to be proven wrong. The tension between them prevents Dana from being one of the guys, and she feels that and knows everything would be easier if this weren't the case, but I think that if he ever did come to think of her as one of the guys, it would break her heart.

Thanks! I asked for this pairing because I don't read it, but find it really interesting to think about.

Although I don't like 'shipping Dana with Casey, since I think they're not all that good for each other, I do think their relationship is interesting. So thanks for nudging me to think about it! :)

Giles or else Fraser in general, nephir bagged my first choice.

Am tempted by all of this to beg for some Spike/Fraser fic but Ray would be very upset.

I think we agree totally on Giles and number 1 is so true! In the whole Janus debacle he completely picks up where they had left off. The beating scene is pure s/D: all that business with the handkerchief.

Hee! I think Daniel's far less OMG! about the whole relationship than Jack is. And for the record, Daniel doesn't understand why Jack likes him, either.

You've mentioned him in passing, but Jayne.

The man they call Jayne!

1. Jayne knows he's a uncouth, uncultured lout. That doesn't mean he can't appreciate pretty and refined when he sees it; even a blind man can tell the different between cake and wholemeal bread. He'd be happy to watch Simon (or Mal or even Kaylee, who sure is pretty even if she ain't refined) all day. He's entranced by them.

2. After Kaylee went to her ball in her big fluffy dress, Jayne tried dancing with air in his quarters. He tripped on his feet and fell flat on his bunk.

3. Jayne would die for Mal. He'd rather not, all things considered, but Mal's the first captain he's had who has treated him as part of the crew instead of just as muscle. He's inspired Jayne's loyalty... at least to a point.

4. He does not understand what Zoe sees in Wash. It's obvious what Wash sees in her, but since she gave him a black eye the one time he tried to make a move on her he's not going to go into details about her assets ( ... )

Wonderful! I must confess a warm and fuzzy spot in my heart for Jayne in the "no you nitwit" *thwap* kind of way.

Rather like Andrew and early Wes on Buffy, actually. They have that thing where they're like the puppy with the too-big feet that trip them and you know they're going to fall and land on their noses and yet, still funny. (Only usually in an emotional/abstract sense, if that makes sense.)

1. Lilah gets her nails done by the same woman every week at this little shop on the edge of a not-quite-good part of town. She started going there when she first moved to LA, and she can't quite bring herself to leave. Going there for the ritual of the manicure centers her in some way, even if she prefers to justify it to herself by saying that she's saving money so that can can buy more shoes ( ... )
