I'm not one for memes, but this one looks fun. If you give me a character or a pairing, I'll tell you five-ish things that are a part of my own personal canon about him/her/them*. Jack and Daniel...

1. Jack doesn't understand why Daniel likes him. I mean, sure, he knows he's a good enough guy, but he's not smart or empathetic like Daniel is. He's hard and cynical, where Daniel's hopeful and shines like the sun. He knows why he likes Daniel, but he doesn't see the appeal in return. He figures it's just 'cause they're together so much.

2. While Jack's had some experience with anonymous handjobs and blowjobs, Daniel's the first guy who he's ever fucked. Daniel's also the first guy to fuck him, and it was a lot better than he thought it would be.

3. Every time Daniel died Jack thought his already pretty shattered heart was going to break. Every time Daniel came back Jack wondered if there really was some sort of god after all.

4. Jack never told Janet about his relationship with Daniel. Daniel, who trusted her not to care about the regulations, was much more open, and she was the one who slipped extra lube and condoms in his pack when they were going on peaceful missions.

5. Jack kisses with his eyes closed so that he can focus on the taste and feel of Daniel's mouth. Daniel kisses with his eyes open (at least at first) so that he can see exactly who he's kissing; he still can't believe it's Jack.

Hee! I think Daniel's far less OMG! about the whole relationship than Jack is. And for the record, Daniel doesn't understand why Jack likes him, either.

LOL! Somehow I don't think Daniel would be all that impressed that someone likes him because he's pretty. Though he really, really is. But, you know, Jack's an experienced mililtary man of the world, and Daniel's just this archaeologist.

ARGH! :-) Talk about "man of the world". Archeology/Anthropology/Philology: He knows what the locals smoked 10,000 years ago, knows what they called it in the ensuing years and knows how to pronounce it in order to procure some today.

Y'know, I always figured Jack would be seriously shocked if he ever found out exactly what Daniel was up to in the years before the gate. ;-)

Hey, I figure that Jack and Daniel have probably met about as many different types of people in their lives. The difference is that Daniel got to talk with them and Jack got to kill them. Jack's lived a fairly pedestrian life, space travel aside; Daniel's done a hell of a lot more. I just don't think that Daniel sees it that way.
