This isn't the intro post I mentioned earlier, more like trying to map out how all the doramas I've watched rate against each other. With pictures! So I suppose it could also work as something to make y'all curious about these

okay Full House and Nobuta are at the TOP of my korean & japanese drama lists... so i HIGHLY recommend them!!!

Nobuta really isn't a JE thing. i mean yes, there are two JE boys in it, but the drama holds it own! (i admit it's not perfect and there are some WTF moments in it. but the plot was gooood and the actors did a fabulous job. and i HATE Kame!)

i HAVE to rec a few things, even though i plan on making a post like this soon, i'll leave a few here for you.

Outrageous Women: it's tied for my fav kdrama with Sam-soon and Full House! now it never got popular cause it doesn't have the typical kdrama plot. it's about older people as opposed to your typical Goong type drama. but it's HILARIOUS, and Lee Ki-woo is one of my main korean male crushes!!!

GTO/Gokusen: my top two japanese school dramas. others have tried to be these two and have FAILED.

My Boss My Hero this might have knocked Nobuta out of it's top spot in my heart... but i think they're tied. MBMH is the most HILARIOUS jdrama i think i've ever seen. Nagase is gold in

I suppose I should check out Full House just to see what the fuss is all about. Plus hey, Rain's cuuuuute.

I don't like Kame's face, yeah. But I suppose there's no harm in giving Nobuta a try, even though I'm not feeling too positive - I'm too much of a romcom fluff girl, I guess.

Ooh, I'll def give Outrageous Women a try, though. Something different, neato. I've also heard good things about Gokusen, seems like good fun. MBMH maybe, as well.

I liked the scene where the OTP meets but I couldn't even finish the 3rd episode, I just wanted to fastforward through most of it so yeah, dropped.

I'm unsure if I want to see Yamapi in anything after I finish Kurosagi.

Cries. But he's Yamapi!! You really should watch Nobuta. It won't drag you into JE RPS, I swear. The plot is so cute! Yamapi is cute! Xiu Yi reminds me of Akira in many ways, and there's cute boy sleepovers and friendship with angst and cheesy mementos and lots of oddness and crack too.

Also, you should watch Ace wo Nerae. It has a strong romance plotline I think you'd really like (with sports & sports fangirling similar to Hana Kimi, in a way... only... with tennis... >.>)

I have to know what this Smiling Pasta is about. o_O

Want to watch these other Jiro Wang things. Also, must find more with what's-his-face-sporting-the-pink-sweater. *_* I have about 100 Hana Kimi screencaps on my desktop now and I think 90% of them are of those two characters. :(

Am going to watch more Yamapi dramas and will have to report back to you. Some of them sound promising! :D

But I'm a prejudiced whore! And I don't love him in Kurosagi and I don't find him hot, either. And JE RPS isn't a concern, really. It's just one side of Japanese culture I'm sketchy about (I've seen videos of JE bands and omfg >_<).

Smiling Pasta gets its name from the pasta restaurant that the heroine family owns. There's a dish called "Smiling Pasta" because it makes people happy. XD! The plot itself is about a girl who's cursed because all her relationships never last more than three months.. Then she gets mistaken for a popstar's girlfriend and the two make a pact to pretend to be going out. What annoyed me was the hero's younger brother and the hero's ex, and the exaggerated fight scenes. *rolls eyes*

Re: Jiro. Well, there's ISWAK, another "he-doesn't-get-the-girl"-role and KO One will get subbed veeeery soon. And Tang Yu Zhe? Yeah, he's pretty ace. He'll be Summer x Summer which I'll be checking out when it gets subbed. I love these idol dramas. It's like everyone is in everything

I'm always browsing the yamapi_daily comm and they post pics where he's pouring water over himself or whatever and I'm like, ... what is this shit. But I want him to make funnyfaces forever. :( He's so cute! Hey, a lot of the kpop bands are weird too! I think all of these mass-marketed boyband groups are kind of odd. But Nobuta! It is fluffy and heartwarming! Also, the cinematography in it is really really awesome. So many cool angled shots and pretty frame composition... :D

Hey, a lot of the kpop bands are weird too!True, true. I take all Asian pop with several grains of salt because they're just as if not more produced than those 90's boybands/girlbands here in the West. You know, with their own created images, one is the "sporty" one, "the sweet one" etc. It's ridiculous. But amusing, too. Something about the costumes on jpop bands hurts my eyes, though. I think Fahrenheit and S.H.E look ridiculous in their videos, often, too, but at least I can bear watching them. (Plus S.H.E are just teh cutest ever omg

If you wanna watch a drama with Kim Rae Won in it, I heavily suggest Which Star Are You From. He's awesome in that one and it's one of my favorites. Also it has Ryeo Won who was in SamSoon.

Have you seen Prince Turns to Frog (TW), Delighful Girl Choon Hyang (Kor), Lovers in Paris (Kor) , or Silence (TW). Silence has Vic in the lead role. It's my favorite role of his so far. His acting has greatly improved since his Meteor Garden days.
If you like Prince Turns to Frog - you might like Save the Last Dance (Kor). It's generally the same story, only less comedy and more drama

I've heard of Delightful Girl, yeah, seems like my thing. I'll check it out eventually.

See, that's what bugged me about Sweet 18 - she had no goal except to marry. I can't relate to that. And yeah, I'll keep watching Nodame. :)

I suspect you wouldn't like Silence, because you are more into the fluffy fun stuff and it's total AAAANNNGGGSSST. I managed to watch it all the way through, but for example dangermousie who is usually all about angst and is a big VZ fan hasn't made it through the series.

Snadisti hypocrite olo tässä, kuuntelen taiwanilaist poppia ihan kybäl mut joo, eh, mä+japanese whatever = harvoin suurta rakkautta (poikkeukset vahvistaa säännön, tietty - Death Noten 7 ekaa volaa etc). I don't really have a thing. It's pretty much hit-and-miss with me. Well, I guess there are some things I like but don't love, but mostly...I really don't have a genre that I can single out. Which is why I want to try all of these, just to see if I like 'em, because if I do, hooray! :D

I recced My Girl to sioniann because I felt it has things a lot of fandomers can appreciate - parody portions, fantasy sequences, slashiness, jokes about slashiness, and a really cute OTP. It's definitely one of my absolute top faves along with Hana Kimi, though the two are very different, like My Girl is maybe technically above Hana Kimi but still.

Of course, all of my favourites are incredibly cute romance focused but now that I've developed a taste for drama crack, I'm also getting into that stuff.
