A friend of mine is making me a replica of Mal's gun holster in exchange for some artwork, and he needs to know the dimensions of Mal's pistol in order to do so. I don't own a replica of the gun yet but intend to purchase one at some point. Does anyone know the correct measurements to use off hand?

Hey ya'll - does anyone know where I could buy a wig that's fairly close to Mal's hair?

I recently embarked on the very odd pet project of constructing a Firefly-related partial fursuit, which is nearly done but still lacks the very defining quality of Mal's hairdo.

Thank you very much to the people who pointed me in the right direction! I finally received my holster, which was the final part of my Malcolm Reynolds costume. I don't have the buckles on the coat, but that will wait for a while.

Well I had a little help. I'm lucky enough to live just a couple of miles down the road from a Tandy Leather shop. They offer all kinds of introductory classes to get you in the door including holster making.
