From the moment of Ten crashing back into that Naismith house and until the end it was just mostly a huge never-ending (or so it seemed) roll of "wtf? bzuh? wtf? er, wtf? god, please no. bzuh?"
Yeah, more or less.
Rassilon? uh, are you sure about that, RTD?
Yeah, I'm still too far back in Classic Who to get the implications of that, but ubi was saying she thought Rowena was the president at the time the Time War was locked.
Martha suddenly married to Mickey?
I've heard one possible reason is the guy who played Tom may not have been available, but there was still no need to marry them, imo. I hope we get some actual story on that at some point.
woman in white? my best guess is Susan, but...)
I've heard some theories that that was the Doctor's mother. Again, still too behind on the classic eps to have any real opinion, but then why that theme? It was the music from when Rose went all Bad Wolf and from the Big Epic Goodbye at the end of S2.
the whole Jack/Alonso thing - OK, I get RTD has a hard-on for Russell Tovey, but that
( ... )
The problem with the woman being his mother is that pretty much everything in DW canon, at least from Two onwards, so far has pretty much implied the Doctor's mother is long dead (and in the 1996 film, that his mother was human). Not that there's ever been a lot of talk about his parents
( ... )
lol I'd read the Martha/Mickey spoiler so long ago I didn't even know what it was they were spoiling. It makes just as little sense now as it did then, wtf. (And knowing Rose had to be crammed in there makes me almost not look forward to this thing at alllll, god.)
Good riddance, RTD; so long, woe-for-my-one-twu-wuv mope-fest - hopefully.
And as for me, I'll take my time on the Martha and Donna series and hope there'll be enough fanfic to fix this by the time I get round to watching it. lol

It's also been pointed out elsewhere that this continues a theme of interracial couples (of which Martha and Tom were arguably the most functional, for as little as we saw of them together) not working. Apparently, the issue may have been the guy who played Tom not being available, but that, imo, isn't enough reason to marry Martha and Mickey. Honestly, while Mickey's come a long, long way, that's almost as much a mismatch as Hermione and Ron. Almost.

I don't think the two dissident time lords are weeping angels.
Rassilon said they were going to have to stand with them or something though, didn't he? I'll have to rewatch that bit.
It's supposed to be his mum.
I'd since read that elsewhere. I'm guessing you'd have to be up on the classic eps to pick that up. Very confused why they used the Rose/Bad Wolf music as a backdrop though.
Agree about the Captain Jack bit, but as the meeting with Rose occurs before their travels, it could be that the meeting with Jack occurs before CoE.
Mmm, not too likely, since he went directly from 200100 to 1869 and then lived linearly through now, saving the Year That Wasn't. More likely long after, I think. Hope. Going to rewatch Voyage of the Damned to see about Alonso's fate, because I'd thought he was killed or at least seemed fatally wounded by the end of that. So if this meetup happened before VotD, never mind CoE, then that's just beyond cruel.
BBC America isn't available where I am, so I had to download. Was supposed to be on 9pm last night though over here, for those who can get it. Have you seen it yet?
