Well, The beast and Bluebird have been dug out, our walk and driveway is clear and I even helped my neighbors with their gignormous walk. No kiss, no lube, but damn is NYC screwed this morning with all the snow! Around 7:30 last night, we had thundersnow, as the storm picked up for the second time and the thunder boomed loudly in the sky. That thrills me to no end. All this snow? I cannot remember a winter where the NYC public schools closed for two snow days during the school year. And yet, here we are. :) My school closed last night, bringing our count to 3, but the public schools waited until 6:30 am to announce it. I am home one more day. Bree? She's not too happy with the mayor.

Well, the snow slowed down for a while. Now it's picking up again in a big way. Some kids with shovels just walked up our steps,looking for work, but we can handle it. Hoping Board of Ed closes for tomorrow, but not counting on it.

Back to simmering my plum tomato sauce. Also time to fire up the bread maker to make some French bread dough. :)

The family is warm and safe, Dino is serenading me and I'm cooking up my own personal storm in the kitchen. It doesn't get much better than this, unless you count the crazy eclectus on my shoulder, cleaning my teeth and making me giggle.
