Unprecedented
I cannot remember a winter where the NYC public schools closed for two snow days during the school year. And yet, here we are. :) My school closed last night, bringing our count to 3, but the public schools waited until 6:30 am to announce it. Unfortunately, I had already woken the pook but she's back in bed now.
Howard, crazy ass fool that he is, drove to Jersey but made it safely to work. I just finished round 1 of shoveling. About 3 seasons ago, Howard and I bought an electric snow shovel from my church's trash and treasure sale for $5. Holy crap, best invested $5 ever. That little thing let me shovel out the driveway, the walk and my neighbor's walk in a fraction of the time it would have taken by hand. Getting some breakfast then I'm going to finish the driveway.
