I haven't been to Hershey since I was a child. Hmmmmm, makes me wonder if I might be able to squeeze in visit with the kids before the end of the summer.

Enjoy the beach!

Where the heck did the summer go? Between Amina's broken foot and launching Adam to college there has a been a large whoooshing sound as the time galloped past.

If you are around on 9/15 evening (wednesday nite), my choir and I are hoping to put on a short peace concert at the UU church in Flushing. I'll let you know for sure when it is confirmed.

Oooh, yes please keep me posted. That happens to be the UU church where I've been spending my Sunday mornings as of late. I'm very interested. :)

I know very few people who can make a career out of beadwork. It sounds so good, but if you plan to actually make a reasonable amount of money, you must put high prices on it (pay yourself a decent hourly wage). A lot of people prefer cheaper prices on cheaper pieces that are generally made offshore.

Oh, I know it would be a difficult road. I've done a lot of the research already. Right now, I'm just mulling it over. I was considering beadwork and a part time job of some sort.

Yeah, a part time job would give you enough to cover until you found out how well the beadwork went.

My plan was to keep teaching and try to fit more bead time in and see if at some point I make a profit. If that happened, then i would see about cutting down my hours. I'm not rushing into it and it's likely it will end up being nothing but a daydream. But it doesn't hurt to daydream. :)
