Tonight I was craving a food I grew up on: frikadellan. Actually, we called them frickadellas and my dad said his Mom made them a lot following WW II because it helped stretch out the meat for the week. Sounds like meatloaf! Or meatballs, if you roll them up. I like swedish meatballs best, but I'm never had frickadellas.

It's more like a meat patty than a meatloaf because the meat is already cooked. You are basically throwing in what's in the house to use up leftovers. They are sometimes cooked like meatballs but generally they are round and flat. Swedish meatballs are very awesome as well.
