At the sound of the door opening, Kazuya opened his eyes, sleep gone from his system. He had slept for far too long and this only came as natural, but he wondered about the sound. He looked around him and saw the bed empty on Jin’s side only to notice the older standing in the middle of the room, trying to make as less noise as possible. Kazuya narrowed his eyes at his suspicious attitude.
“Where have you been?” he asked out of the blue with a sleepy voice. Something had him feeling that Jin was up to something and mostly it had to do with what had happened yesterday.
Jin stiffened and slowly turned back to look at Kazuya with a sheepish smile. “Um,” he said as he ruffled his hair, “outside.” He then answered, not wanting to give any more details.
Kazuya touched Jin’s side of the bed. It was cold, Jin hadn’t slept through the night or if he had, he didn’t sleep here. “And what did you do outside?” he asked, the ominous feeling from when he woke up intensifying.
“I had some work to do.” Jin promptly lied, starting to get undressed and throwing his clothes on the chair.
Kazuya followed each and every move of Jin’s. They were calculated to appear nonchalant, too much, if he could say so. “Regarding what?” he pressed on, wanting to hear from Jin and not to deduct from his behavior.
Jin suddenly stopped in the middle of the room, standing only in his briefs with the hands on his waist. “And since when are you interested in my work?” he cocked an inquiring eyebrow, wanting to know why was Kazuya so curious about this matter.
A bit disconcerted about this sudden change of their conversation’s course, Kazuya stuttered in his answer. “I-I have always been, it’s just I didn’t ask.” He replied and his eyes skimmed over Jin’s body. He stopped before any weird thoughts would make their way to his mind. “So… what did you do?” Kazuya insisted, not wanting to let go not until he found out what he needed.
“It’s late, Kazuya, and I haven’t slept all night.” Jin whined as he approached the bed and sat down, covering himself with the sheet and sighing happily. “We’ll talk later.” He added with a fake sleepy voice, also closing his eyes to show that he had no intention of continuing this.
And neither did Kazuya have any intention to let this end so easily; so he pulled on Jin’s hair, poked his ribs and cheeks, not letting him sleep. “It’s not my fault you went missing all night and now you’re sleepy.” He accused and pulled on the older one’s ear. “I want to know, Jin, what you did last night.” He added, his poking fingers turning into a soft caress over Jin’s ribs. There was worry in his tone and it could be clearly sensed.
The older sighed and opened his eyes, staring at Kazuya for a few moments. Then he sighed again. “I went to see Uchi.” He finally confessed, waiting for the bomb to explode any moment now.
Kazuya’s hand fell between them as he stared openly at Jin. He had suspected as much so it didn’t come as much of a surprise, but still… He bit his lower lip. “Did you beat him?” Kazuya asked and his voice was small.
“No.” Jin confessed tiredly. “He wasn’t home so I didn’t find him until morning. He was with some bitch at her apartment.” He snorted, obviously becoming angrier by the second.
Kazuya held back a sigh of relief. “So… where’s he now?” He asked, hoping that Jin didn’t kidnap him or something and just let him alone. Though the bit of information that the other offered to him - the one with Hiroki and a girl - had him angry for a moment or two. But he was more concerned about Jin than Hiroki. He just didn’t want Jin to do anything stupid because of him.
Jin didn’t look back at Kazuya as he answered his question. “He’s locked up.” He admitted. “I came here because I didn’t want you to find out and I knew that you should be waking up soon.” He then confessed with a guilty voice, but only for lying to Kazuya, not for his actions too.
Kazuya feared as much as he cupped Jin’s face and made him look at him. “Release him.” He asked and he was sincere when he said this. “Please.” He added, his fingers brushing Jin’s cheeks.
Jin seemed to ponder a little on Kazuya’s request. “Is this what you really want?” he asked, seeming not to want to believe that the younger was willing to let go of that bastard so easily.
Kazuya stared confused at Jin. What did he want? He wanted Hiroki to pay for what he had done, he wanted the bastard to feel the same as he had felt when he was attacked. Yes, he wanted this. But was it worth it? Would it make him feel better? Probably not, but what if the bastard would try this on another person and maybe succeed? He wasn’t sure what was right anymore and also… he didn’t want Jin to be involved in this anymore. It was his fault for wanting to get a job that he went through such an experience and he should just live with it.
“No.” Kazuya found himself saying, surprised by this. “I mean!” He added hurriedly and looked at Jin desperate. “I don’t want him to get away this easily, but I don’t want you to do anything.” He continued and somehow what he said felt wrong. Maybe the last part, so he tried to correct it. “What I want to say is that… I know you, Jin. I know you want to kill Hiroki and make him pay for what he did. But I don’t want you to do such a thing.”
“But he deserves it.” Jin said like it was the most normal thing to go and kill Hiroki for trying to rape Kazuya. But then again… who wouldn’t want this if their most precious person were to experience something like this?
Kazuya sighed. “I know.” He replied and licked his lips. “But I don’t want our relationship to be tainted by his blood.” He continued, giving a small nod.
“I’m not going to let him free just like that.” Jin hurried to say, the hatred and desire to avenge Kazuya burning in his harsh voice. “He has to be punished for what he did to you.” He then added, not accepting anything else and not wanting to hear any word in the defense of that creep from Kazuya.
“Then let me punish him.” Kazuya replied quickly, not even realizing what this meant for him. But he had done so and he was willing to do anything as long Jin didn’t have to dirty his hands with blood anymore. “Take me where he is.” He asked, his voice firm and composed.
Jin looked surprised at the younger’s change but he couldn’t stop a smile from appearing on his lips. He kissed Kazuya, long and longingly, wanting to take his breath with his lips and to never forget the taste of his mouth. “I’ll take you, but…” Jin said as they parted, their lips still slightly touching as they looked into each other’s eyes. “But let me take the decision, okay?” he pleaded. After all, he had no intention of leaving Hiroki alive. Not after he had found out that the storeroom was videotaped to prevent workers from stealing and especially not after Jin had seen with his own eyes what had happened between the two of them.
Kazuya licked his lips and studied Jin’s features. He knew that Jin wanted to avenge him, but… was it right to let him decide? But he will be there, he could stop him if something went out of the hand. And he will not let Jin commit murder for his sake. “Okay…” he agreed and kissed the older one once more.
Jin smiled again as he answered to the kiss and let himself enjoy the moment for a while before parting from Kazuya. “Let’s get dressed then.” He proposed with an excited voice, feeling anxious that Kazuya was about to become a part of his world. This only meant that they would become closer than ever, right? If the younger was going to do this, then he’ll finally understand Jin’s other world and maybe even love him more.
This kind of thoughts haunted Jin’s mind as they got ready and then drove to a small apartment, close to the exit from the city. He tucked Kazuya’s hand into his as he took him up the stairs and finally opened the door to the room where Hiroki was locked in.
It wasn’t that different from the one where Kazuya’s mother had been. The apartment was empty except for a few chairs and two tables. There was a couch in what seemed to be the living room but they didn’t linger there too much as they entered Hiroki’s room. Somehow, it didn’t seem to be part of the rest of the apartment, this one being fully furnished and with an air that said there was maybe someone living there. At the end of the room was a bed and next to it a chair on which Hiroki was tied down. He had his head down and seemed to be unconscious, not moving when Jin and Kazuya stepped into the room. The older signaled the man who was guarding the room to leave them alone and the other left, closing the room behind them.
The scream of a woman pierced the silence that had fallen above them.
Kazuya turned to look around the room to find the person in cause, shock written over his features. “Who’s that?!” he asked as he watched Jin with widened eyes. “Don’t tell me…” his words trailed off as he looked back and forth at him and Hiroki.
“She’s just a whore, Kazuya.” Jin sighed, though he felt a little amused because of Kazuya’s concern. “We found her being fucked by that son of a bitch,” he explained, pointing with his head at Hiroki who seemed to begin to wake up, “and we took advantage seeing as that bitch stole a large sum of money from me.” He hissed, the anger flaring in his eyes.
“Jin… she’s a woman!” Kazuya said and all of a sudden was more concerned over the fate of that woman than for Hiroki. “What are they doing to her?!” he asked, looking stunned as another scream pierced the thin walls.
“What they paid for.” Jin answered, obviously not really caring about that woman’s fate.
Kazuya’s expression darkened. “You brought Hiroki here for trying to rape me. Now you’re telling me that you took another person - a woman on top - who is being raped now in the next room while I have nearly been in the same situation as her?!” He looked furious at Jin, now not giving a shit about Hiroki.
“She’s not being raped.” Jin frowned, not liking the tone of Kazuya’s voice even if the younger wasn’t that far from the truth. “Or do you want to go and ask her yourself?” he then proposed with an arched eyebrow. “Though the image won’t be pretty.” Jin added, knowing that this was the last thing Kazuya should see.
The other one shook his head. “No.” he replied darkly, feeling that maybe it had been a mistake to come here. “I- I just want her to stop screaming.” He added with a slight disgust in his voice.
“Okay then.” Jin immediately accepted and exited the room for a second. In the other corner of the room, Hiroki was already conscious again and was looking at Kazuya with big eyes, not really understanding what was happening.
Kazuya looked after Jin and then he turned to see Hiroki staring at him. A chill passed down his spine, but he needed to be strong. “Hello again, Hiroki.” He greeted the other, his voice cold as ice.
“What are you doing here?” Hiroki asked, confusion written on his slightly damaged face. “Where am I?” he added with a grunt, trying to move his arms but not succeeding because of his bindings. Another scream was heard and Hiroki’s eyes widened in fear, seeming to start remembering some things.
Kazuya tried not to flinch at the bruises and cuts on Hiroki's face. "She was with you last night, wasn't she?" he asked, seeing the fear reflected in Hiroki's eyes. But he couldn't help the woman no matter how much he would have liked to do so. He just hoped Jin would make her stop screaming. It was affecting him too.
“I think so.” Hiroki grunted, feeling how a major headache was trying him. “I don’t really remember what happened yesterday.” He confessed, shaking his head to recover his sight but making himself dizzy.
Kazuya narrowed his eyes. “And what do you remember about yesterday?” he asked with a cold fury. Could it be that he had been beaten so much that he had forgotten what he had tried to do to him?! Kazuya couldn’t believe this.
Hiroki looked up, for the first time gazing directly into Kazuya’s eyes. “Don’t worry, I remember that you scream like a girl.” He said with a cold voice, seeming to regain some of his lost courage now that he realized that he was in front of Kazuya and not someone dangerous.
Two steps and Kazuya was standing in front of Hiroki and slapped him hard across the face, his hand shaking furiously. It was slightly smeared with the other’s blood, but Kazuya wasn’t aware of such thing. “Only I can save you now.” He hissed to Hiroki, his brown eyes sparkling with ice. “You’re here because of what you tried to do to me yesterday. I told you not to mess with me, I warned you beforehand and now you’re here.” Kazuya continued speaking with contained fury. “So do watch your tone when talking with me!”
Hiroki spit back the blood from his mouth and looked back at Kazuya, his eyes defiant and challenging. “And what are you going to do?” he mocked the other one. “Kill me?” he laughed. “Please!” he rolled his eyes and laughed some more, not being afraid of Kazuya at all. After all, how could he when the memory of Kazuya’s screams and pleadings were still vivid in his mind?
This man was testing his patience, Kazuya thought as he pushed the chair with his leg and had it crush into the wall, gaining a loud groan from Hiroki. He settled his foot between Hiroki’s ones and with the upper part of his shoe he pressed dearly onto the other’s crotch. “Killing you might be a soft option for which you will beg at the end of all this.” Kazuya said and pressed a bit harder on Hiroki’s jewels, making him bite his lips but still not letting one sound out of pride. “So act nicely and there might still be hope for you.” His fingers gripped Hiroki’s chin, tightening their hold stronger and stronger. And for once… it never felt this good to get back at one of his attackers.
“I’m not going to bow down to you.” Hiroki spat back, staring into Kazuya’s eyes and showing that he wasn’t afraid of him, no matter how much he’d hurt him. He would get better, Hiroki knew, and then he would take his revenge on these fuckers. “And you’ll be the one to beg for mercy once I get out of here.” He threatened, sure of his words.
Someone laughed. “I have to admire your courage.” Jin said as he entered the room clapping mockingly, having listened to their conversation almost from the beginning.
Kazuya turned and saw his lover. “Jin.” He breathed the name and got away from Hiroki, heading to him. Out of defiance and sudden feeling of safety, he kissed the older, his hands encircling his neck as Jin answered to him. He looked into his lover’s eyes, mixed feelings swimming in their sea of brown. He gave a slight nod and turned to look at Hiroki, feeling secure in Jin’s arms that were around his waist protectively. “I don’t think I’ve introduced you two.” He said with an ironic tone. “Hiroki, meet my lover, Jin. Jin, that over there is my almost rapist.” Kazuya continued and you could sense the anger behind his sweet voice.
“We had the pleasure, though not officially.” Jin said with a playful voice, surprised by Kazuya’s actions and obviously delighted. Hiroki snorted in the background and refused to say anything but to glare at the pair in front of them. “Having a good time?” he then asked with a smirk, but Hiroki refused to answer this time too, thinking that it will be over sooner if he kept quiet.
Unfortunately for him, he was dealing with Jin. The older got mad at the lack of response from the boy and approached him with quick steps, kicking his chair hard and sending it to the floor, Hiroki falling down along with it and hitting his head on the wall in process, a small line of blood starting to becoming evident in his hair. “I asked you a question!” Jin barked angrily and the fear seemed to come back into Hiroki’s eyes even if it was for a second.
And Kazuya feared too for a moment before he recalled Hiroki’s defiant words when Jin hadn’t been around. “Jin… you’re scaring the guest.” He said on the sweetest voice possible that it made your hair stand on your neck. “I think he has lots to say, but apparently for a moment cat ate his tongue.” He added and there was mocking pouring from his words. “Be a sweetie for me and lift him up… by the collar.” Kazuya’s eyes flickered at Jin and there was something weird in them. Of course, now all depended on Jin if he wanted to lift the man and have him suspended for a few moments, just enough to take his breath away.
Jin smirked and kissed Kazuya briefly, entering his mouth with his tongue just enough to leave a lingering sensation and then backing away. “Your wish is my command.” He said on an excited voice, his expression changing totally as he looked at Hiroki. He grabbed his collar with both his hands and lifted him up in the air, the chair not touching the ground anymore as Jin held him up for a few moments, clearly enjoying how Hiroki’s face seemed to change and to become desperate in a matter of seconds. He then simply let him go and the chair landed safely on the floor, Hiroki once again facing them, even if he seemed more confused than in the beginning, having problems even to think straight.
“You’re crazy.” he murmured, the reality finally hitting him.
Kazuya laughed. “You figured that only now?” he asked obviously amused. “I warned you, but you thought I was playing hard to get.” He laughed some more and approached Hiroki, grabbing him by the hair to make him look up to him. “Tell me… do I still seem to play hard to get now?” He hissed the words, his nails scratching Hiroki’s scalp.
“You still seem like a slut.” He spited the words with hate and disgust in his voice as he stared into Kazuya’s eyes and waited for the punishment of his words.
“True enough.” Kazuya calmly replied before banging his head on the wall behind him, now completely letting him go. “Jin, I think our guest has a dirty mouth. Any suggestions in correcting this habit?” He turned to his lover, wearing a scary and evil expression on his beautiful face.
“In fact, I have lots of ideas.” Jin showed a wicked grin as he hugged Kazuya from behind. “But I was thinking that we should give him a taste of his own medicament.” He continued as his eyes landed on Hiroki who seemed to be more scared than ever.
Kazuya looked up to Jin wearing an insanely grin. “You know, babe, I was thinking the same thing.” He agreed with Jin, this kind of punishment being the first option he had when he asked Jin to let him see. “What do you say, Hiroki?” Kazuya turned to the frightened man. “Would you like to have some dicks shoved up your ass?” He asked as if he was merely discussing weather.
Hiroki’s eyes flickered and his body trembled at the prospect of being raped by unknown guys. He didn’t want that, he didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe he was a little too arrogant for his own good, but he had never had the intention of hurting anyone and the thought that he was helpless in front of those two crazy men… left him shuddering in fear. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. That Jin guy seemed bold and crazy enough to do such a thing, but not Kazuya. From the day he had met him, Hiroki had been attracted by his naivety and maybe somehow innocence. This wasn’t Kazuya and all had to be a dream.
“Please no…” he begged with a small voice, tears threatening to fall from his wet eyes but no one could see them as he had his head lowered down and looking at his own shoes. “Let me go…” he added, sniffing as he raised his gaze to look into Kazuya’s eyes with a silent plea.
Kazuya grasped Jin’s hand, feeling like he needed support for what he wanted to do next. “I remember asking you the same, Hiroki.” He said with an odd voice, somehow it was scarier than a cool or threatening one. It was like it was void of any emotions. “I remember saying to let me go. And what did you do?” Kazuya asked and his eyes hardened in front of the pleading ones. Yes, Kazuya wasn’t one to do such things, but to stop them from repeating he had to.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you.” Hiroki said, sounding like a wounded puppy. “Please believe that I didn’t mean any harm…” he begged again, not being able to control his tears this time, the pain from his head also too big to ignore it.
Kazuya gritted his teeth at the sight of Hiroki. “Then what did you mean? What did you mean when you locked me in that storeroom and forced yourself upon me?!” Kazuya’s voice raised a little. “TELL ME!!” He shouted this time, his grip on Jin tighter than before.
“Kazuya, calm down.” Jin interfered, pulling on the boy’s arm and bringing him into his arms as Jin proceeded to hug him again. “He’s not worth your time, just your punishment.” He continued with a calm voice, acting like this scene was something normal for him. And maybe it was. “Just tell me how much you want him to suffer.”
Kazuya shook his head. “No, I want him to answer.” He said hoarsely and visibly relaxed. “I want to know why and I want to know if he had done this before.” He continued and stared directly at Hiroki. “I was raped before and although I have always known their motives, I don’t know yours.” He addressed to him, his voice once more void of emotions.
Jin sighed but still complied with Kazuya’s wish as he caught Hiroki’s hair and pulled roughly on it, earning a pained yelp from the boy. Tears were brimming in his eyes and it was obvious that the fear had him consumed completely. “Answer his question.” Jin barked as he pulled Hiroki’s head back, making it hard for him to breathe.
“I liked him.” The youngest confessed, coughing and desperately searching for air. “I wanted him and I couldn’t.” he added, hurrying to talk so that he could be released. “So I decided to get him for myself.”
“And didn’t I tell you to show it differently?” Kazuya sighed tiredly. “I told you were going to regret it.” He then added and looked at Jin. “I want him to feel the same way I felt in that storeroom. But don’t let it go all the way.” The younger asked Jin and there was suddenly a strain in his voice. “Please.” He added and he hoped Jin would listen to him.
“And that’s all?” Jin asked a little annoyed as he lifted an eyebrow. “Kazuya, this fuck tried to rape you if you don’t remember. You were crying and begging but he didn’t care about you, just for his own needs to be satisfied. He told you he won’t regret raping you.” He said, his tone raised itself with every word that Jin added. “And you are going to forgive him?!” he yelled, the anger flashing into his dark eyes.
Kazuya looked at Jin with a pale expression. “How do you know about what he told me?” he asked with a small voice.
Jin flinched, noticing his mistake too late. “There was a camera there.” He admitted, not avoiding Kazuya’s eyes at all. “I saw it and that’s why I can’t forgive him. I want him dead, Kazuya, for touching you.” He stated, crossing his arms like his decision was final and the younger had no way to make him change his mind or even the right to try.
Next to them, Hiroki began to struggle to set himself free after hearing Jin’s words.
Kazuya closed his eyes. “Jin, I said to you before! I don’t want blood to taint our relationship! He isn’t worth it!” he went to his lover and caught him by the arms. “You shouldn’t have watched it. You should have just trusted me from my words.” Kazuya subtly accused, hugging Jin. “Let him alone… he doesn’t deserve it.”
“Your mother is dead.” Jin suddenly confessed, knowing that he had never made it clear what happened to her and had even implied that he had let her go. “I killed her with my own hands.” He then added, staring intensively into Kazuya’s eyes as he realized how tainted with blood were Jin’s hands already.
Hiroki stiffened and stopped fidgeting, too afraid to even breathe. If Jin had killed Kazuya’s own mother… then what was in store for him?!
Kazuya blinked slowly as he let his mind process everything that Jin just told him. “I already suspected that.” He said with a faint smile. “But this doesn’t change the fact that I don’t want you to kill him! I want you to change, Jin!” He added, sounding desperate.
“To change?” Jin laughed. “And do what? Get a job and work under the law?” he continued with a scoff. “That life isn’t for me and you know it well.” He stated with a firm tone as he took a step back, getting closer to Hiroki and grabbing his hair again, making him yelp in pain. “And he will die no matter what.” He finished, his eyes boring into Hiroki’s.
Kazuya’s hands cupped Jin’s face and turned towards him to kiss him. “Don’t do it.” He whispered and looked at Jin. “I love you, Jin. Please don’t do it. I love you.” And he kissed him again. “I love you.” Another kiss. “I love you.” One more. “I love you.” And this time he deepened their kiss, sliding shyly his tongue inside Jin’s mouth, wanting the other to feel his every emotion. He really didn’t want Jin to kill again because of him.
But the older remained emotionless, for the first time not answering to Kazuya’s kiss. He detached himself from his lover and looked into his eyes, trying to search something in them as he prepared himself to say his next words. “Then I won’t kill him.” He seemed to decide and Kazuya sighed in relief upon hearing those words. “But if I don’t kill him,” Jin continued, fetching a knife from his pocket and pointing it to Kazuya, “I want you to do it.” He asked with a serious and determined voice.
Kazuya looked back and forth at Jin and the knife. “Jin.” He said and his voice was hollow like. “Do you really want this?” he asked as he stretched his hand to take the knife. “Do you want me to kill someone?” he continued and went to Hiroki, now the sharp blade out of its case. “Do you want me to be a murderer?” Kazuya smiled and put the knife to Hiroki’s throat, feeling the man whimpering and whispering pleas, but not daring to do anymore than this.
“I want you to learn to protect yourself and know that this is the real world. This bastard won’t be the only one to do something like this and you have to know how to defend yourself.” Jin reasoned with a steady voice, his eyes not leaving Kazuya and not sparring a glance at Hiroki who was trying hard not to move against the blade, the fear obvious in his eyes. But in the end, it didn’t matter because he knew Kazuya couldn’t do it and Jin didn’t want him to be a murderer. He just wanted Kazuya to see that his decision was right.
Kazuya pressed the blade to Hiroki’s throat and watched with a morbid sensation how the blood showed its crimson color and dirtied the knife. And seeing it slide along Hiroki’s skin and hearing him whimper as tears flowed from his squeezed shut eyes, Kazuya knew he won’t do it. He threw the knife away from him and leaned against the wall. “If…” he gulped and licked his lips. “If this is how I have to defend myself, then… I don’t want to learn to defend.” He said with a strained voice and bit on his lower lip. “I want to leave from here, Jin.” He asked and glanced at his lover. He was pale and he was suddenly feeling kind of sick.
Jin hid his smirk from the younger as he stretched his hand and grabbed Kazuya, pulling him into his arms and hugging him tightly. “It’s okay.” He said with a gentle voice. “I’m here to protect you.” He assured his lover, roaming his hands on the boy’s back in a comforting manner.
Kazuya sighed and hugged Jin back. “Take me home.” He said with a defeated voice. Funny - he had known from the beginning that he won’t be able to do much for Hiroki, but he had hoped Jin would change for him, he would accept his love again in exchange of trying to be a better person. But he didn’t and all he could do now was to go as far as possible from everything he had witnessed this day. “I’m sorry. So sorry.” He whispered while looking at Hiroki and holding out his hand to touch him but being too afraid to do it and letting it fall limp to his side.
Jin didn’t wait for anything more and took the younger out of there, not before throwing Hiroki a look that clearly said he’ll be back to finish the job and that there was no way out of it.
The other one froze out of fear.
PART TWO
