Desires. Needs. Wants. We all have them, we all feel them. The desire of being loved by a special someone. The need of being wanted by a special somebody. Or maybe just the wish of having a nice and warm meal, in the comfort of our own home, without anyone to disturb us. We’re all different and that’s why we all need different things, even if sometimes the difference would be so big, that some of us would be labeled as crazy.
Because some of us want freedom, want to escape from the chains that the others had trapped them into. And in the same time, there are others who wish for that feeling of nothingness when they’re caught up in someone else’s arms and can’t run away. You want to decide your own life, but you can’t. You have the right to take your own decisions, but you don’t want it. Which one is better? Which one of the two can we blame? The trapped one who comes to enjoy the sensation of being played with? Or the free one who becomes someone’s doll and finds out that he hates it?
But then again… who knows the answer to any question about life?
The last couple of days had been like paradise to Ueda. He didn’t realize that it was so much fun to hang out with Jin and neither that the sex with him would make his world crumble down to pieces only to be rebuilt again when they would go out the next time. He was more than pleased to have this kind of relationship with Jin though he knew that somewhere, sometime, he’ll start to feel for the other and maybe suffer a little. But it was alright, there have been worse in his life and Jin was definitely the best. So he wasn’t complaining for hanging out with Jin or for having the blast of his night with him. After all, sex with Jin was like winning lottery… no, much better than that.
Because feeling Jin inside him, moving along with him, touching him and taking all of his moans was what Ueda had dreamt countless times. But dreams can never compare with the reality, they could have never make him feel the burning touch of Jin or the rough yet gentle lips that claimed him in a possessive way no one did. Definitely there was no dream to compare with such raw sensations. Yet while being with Jin, he couldn’t help but to wonder what type of relationship did the other had with Kazuya. It was clear as crystal water that Jin was yearning for the turtle, but something must have happened between the two of them and the last time Ueda had checked, Kazuya wasn’t gay.
Or had he but hid it just like he did? Ueda wasn’t sure but he had always believed that Kazuya was as straight as Koki, Maru and Junno. Not for a single moment had he suspected that he might have been interested in guys and Ueda wasn’t new in the job. He could have noticed, but there had been nothing… that until Jin came into picture. And then everything seemed to change around Kazuya, himself included. Because Ueda knew very well that Jin was a person that would leave a great impression on each one he’ll meet and neither him, nor the turtle have managed to escape Jin’s spell.
Yes, that was Jin to him. A spell that had been cast on him, making Ueda never want to let go of Jin; making him go crazy each time those plump lips would kiss him, each time those slender fingers would brush against his skin, each time Jin would be inside of him… Ueda closed his eyes as he reminisced their last meeting of hot and raw sex, trying to ignore the hard on he was starting to get. Grunting as he realized that his fantasies would not satisfy him, he picked up the phone and dialed the number he had come to know even blindfolded by now. As he heard the low and deep voice on the other side of the line, Ueda thought it was better if they would just go out or he might get addicted soon. And he was definitely not ready to face a Jin addiction.
“Hey, Jin!” he tried to keep a casual voice, though he was still fantasizing about having Jin naked in his bed, making all those sweet and throaty moans.
“Ueda?” Jin answered with a sleepy voice, wondering when the hell had he fallen asleep. He raised his head from the table and looked around him to find out that he was in his own living room, sitting at a table and trying to… this was the hard part because he couldn’t remember what he had been doing before falling asleep. He suspected that the empty bottle of whiskey next to him was answering him instead. “What’s up?” he asked, yawning a little and stretching his body, trying to wake up.
“Nothing much. Just chillin` around.” Ueda answered thinking that this might be the wrong answer as he would have come if he kept on imagining Jin next to him. “And wondering…” he made a small pause, licking his lips nervously. Lately he had been the one to call Jin to meet up, so he hoped that the younger won’t feel fed up with him. “… if you’d like to chill together.” Ueda continued, thinking that after all they have done together in bed, he should be a fool to give up on the occasion to have Jin again for himself. “In a club or something.” Ueda felt the need to add. He wasn’t that desperate to feel Jin again. No, indeed.
Jin growled, still trying to chase away the sleep and yawned once more. “Sure.” He finally answered, the smile from his face being present in his voice too. “Just give me an hour, I have no idea who I am at the moment.” he joked and chuckled.
Ueda laughed and wondered if Jin had been drinking again because of Kazuya. He chose not to ask or even to wonder more about it, feeling like he didn’t want to hear anything related to his friend, not in their private time. “Okay. I’ll pick you up in an hour.” He agreed and ended the call, wearing a goofy smile on his face.
On the other side of the phone, Jin smiled too.
*
Ever since he had seen Jin with Ueda, Kazuya couldn’t stop from wondering why were those two together. He had tried to ask Ueda but the older had been evasive about it and Kazuya knew better than to intrude on Ueda’s private time. But this didn’t mean that he had forgotten completely about the matter or that he didn’t have his eyes on Ueda every time they would meet - just in case he would see any bruises or signs to show that Jin wasn’t behaving abnormally. Yet to his frustration, each time he would meet with Ueda, the older would wear a big and happy smile like he just had the greatest time in the world.
And maybe that was why Kazuya was now with his friends, in the club and trying to relax, to get off his mind the image of Jin being with Ueda.
“I wonder what Uebo is doing.” Koki suddenly said as he took a seat on the couch, stretching all of his limbs.
“I called but he was busy talking with someone else.” Maru replied and everyone nodded as if they knew better than to disturb Ueda when he was on the phone.
“Bet he is with a hot chick now.” Koki added with a snigger while the rest laughed.
“Or he is alone and suffering from being dumped~” Junno interfered, now laughing all by himself.
“Or he is with Jin.” Kazuya suddenly said with a serious expression, his eyes looking into a single direction. Everyone followed his gaze and saw Ueda laughing with Jin as they entered the same club the others were.
Look at those lovey-dovey couple, Kazuya mused, and leaned back on the couch, his eyes never straying from the pair. Seeing them so friendly, so close and so carefree, Kazuya couldn’t help but to feel angry and irked all of a sudden. He didn’t want to see such a scene, he didn’t want to see his friend with his… wait, what was Jin for him? Yeah, his warder. But maybe he’ll get lucky and Ueda would take his place forever. After all, they do seem to get along better than he was with Jin. And what was this fucking feeling that kept tugging at his heart? He had felt it the last time too when he met Jin for the first time in a month, but he had been busy so he didn’t pursue it further. And now this nasty feeling was present again, making his blood coil and his fist clench.
“I wonder since when they’re such good friends.” Koki asked and looked at Kazuya as if the younger had better answers.
“Don’t know.” Kazuya shrugged. “Don’t care.” He added with a sly smile. “It’s their business, right?” and then he turned to keep looking at the two of them, this time his eyes seeing only Jin. Was he better without Kazuya? Had he forgotten about his words of love towards the younger?
Apparently yes, as he had no stress and having fun with Ueda. Kazuya grimaced and signaled the waiter to bring him something to drink.
That was when Ueda noticed all of them and the energetic hand of Junno waving at him. He smiled, thinking what a coincidence it was, and pulled at Jin’s hand. “Look who we’ve run into.” He said and showed the table where his other four friends were, including Kazuya. “Let’s go there!”
“Wait!” Jin suddenly said and pulled on Ueda’s hand to stop him from going further. “I mean…” he continued, not really knowing how to explain himself. “Maybe it’s better if we spend the night alone, just like we wanted to?” he proposed, hoping that the idea of having Jin all by himself will appeal to Ueda.
He really didn’t want to go to Ueda’s friends and see Kazuya again. He was afraid, he was terrified because Ueda had managed to make Jin forget about the younger, at least for as long as they were together. As soon as Ueda would leave Jin’s apartment, he couldn’t stop the feeling of anxiousness and he would always find himself searching for Kazuya once more, but those situations had started to become less and less. The boy was always on Jin’s mind, but he had managed to not let him occupy his every thought. And now…
No, he couldn’t do it. He wouldn’t be able to look at Kazuya and act normal, like nothing ever happened between them. He will make a mistake and then… Kazuya will never forgive him. But then again, Kazuya wasn’t going to forgive him for what he had already done, so what was the point?
Again, Jin wasn’t sure. He just knew that if he goes with Ueda and talks to Kazuya right now, then… something will happen. And he wasn’t sure if it’s going to be a good thing for everyone.
Ueda’s face lit up at the thought of having Jin only by himself, but looking closer at Jin he could still see the need impregnated in Jin’s facial features, the need of seeing Kazuya. So instead of happily agreeing with Jin, he asked: “Are you sure you want this? You won’t regret it?” Well, the best he could do was to help Jin with whatever he wanted, no matter if this meant less for him.
“I don’t know.” Jin replied, looking apologetic at Ueda, and sighed. “I mean…” he stopped, took a deep breath and continued, now a little surer on his words. “I want to see him, I want to talk to him, but I know that he doesn’t want that. And besides… I can’t.” he stopped again, now avoiding Ueda’s inquiring gaze. “I promised to not go near him ever again.” Of course, he kind of broke that promise the moment he had become involved with Ueda, but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t like this. And as much as he wanted to see Kazuya again and not just stalk him… he didn’t want to go back on his word, Jin thought as his eyes continued to watch Kazuya like he had done from the moment he stepped into the club and saw him, but now being a lot more obvious and looking like he was longing for something. For someone.
“Let’s go get a drink, okay?” he pleaded with Ueda with puppy eyes and a sweet and whining voice. It was a mistake to not leave the club at once, a tiny voice whispered inside of Jin’s head, but he ignored it and instead focused on Kazuya’s form and the beating of his own heart.
Ueda listened to Jin and understood his need to see Kazuya because it was similar to what he felt when he was away from Jin. But it was the first time Jin had mentioned anything about a promise between him and Kazuya. It was somehow curious and it made him wonder why there was such a promise. What exactly happened between the two of them and why was Kazuya acting like this? There were so many questions Ueda wanted to have answer to that he almost decided to give up his chance to be alone with Jin and go to that fucking table and see how will Kazuya act.
“We’ll get a drink and go there.” Ueda said and firmly grabbed onto Jin’s arm. “You’re my friend, they’re my friends too… so there’s nothing to be afraid or you won’t be breaking any promise.” He smiled at Jin, trying to assure him that everything was ok. Though even Ueda had doubts about such thing.
Jin smiled too, a little bit reluctant, but he still showed a full grin as he took Ueda’s hand and leaded the both of them to the counter. “What do you want to drink?” he asked, turning to look at Ueda and trying to keep his face normal, to not show the excitement going through his veins. He couldn’t stop the sparkles from his eyes but at least he could keep a blank face to hide the fact that Jin was half trembling inside.
“A Screwdriver.” Ueda answered, feeling unsure about what was about to happen, but he wasn’t going to back down. As soon as they got their drinks, Ueda rounded Jin towards the table where Kazuya and the others where sitting and gave him a slight grip to tell him that he was there.
When they got there, everyone greeted and smiled at them. Ueda high-fived with each one and crashed onto the place next to Maru, dragging Jin after him. “Why didn’t I get a call too?” he said, pouting and glaring in the same time.
“I tried but you were busy talking on the phone with someone else.” Maru explained and Ueda smiled sheepishly.
“Ah… well, sorry!” he laughed and relaxed as he looked at everyone in turn. He saw Koki smiling at him, throwing from time to time glances at Kazuya who was so serious and only made mechanical expressions, while Junno and Maru were enjoying their drinks and goofing around together. He turned to Jin and saw that the older was tenser than a bow. “Chill, he’s not biting... yet.” Ueda whispered to him, looking at Kazuya and saw him ruffling his hair. Definitely a sign of nervousness, the older mused pleased.
“Well, he doesn’t seem delighted either.” Jin whispered back, a frown appearing on his face as he looked again at Kazuya and saw that he’s a little nervous. Was it because of him? Really now, it wasn’t like Jin will attack him in the middle of a club!! He scoffed and turned his gaze away, looking at the others and smiling politely, feeling like he was a stranger between them more than ever.
“You don’t know him so well, do you?” Ueda asked, chuckling a little. “He isn’t delighted, of course, but he sure is conscious of you.” He continued, taking a sip from his Screwdriver. “See? The way he keeps ruffling his hair is a sign of insecurity, of wanting to pose as cool in front of others. Kame-chan isn’t like that with us four, so I can only think of you, Jin.” Ueda explained, wondering why he was saying all of this to Jin and then he remembered that he had promised to himself that he’ll help Jin in any way he can.
Jin looked again at Kazuya and mused upon Ueda’s words. He had to admit that he doesn’t know Kazuya that well to know when he’s nervous because he’s scared or when he wants to act cool to impress someone. After all, their relationship had been based only on sex and nothing else. “And why would he do that?” Jin raised an eyebrow and looked at Ueda now. “I don’t understand.” He pursed his lips, feeling like a little child who needs explanations for questions like ‘why is the sun round?’.
Ueda laughed and looked at him teasingly. “That, honey, I’ll let you find out.” He winked and then shouted over the table: “Oi! Kame-chan, isn’t this your favorite song?” Ueda suddenly said, startling the younger who had already begun to hum. Kazuya nodded and looked unsure at his friend. “Well, what are you waiting for?! Show us some moves~” he sing-songed and moved his body as if Kazuya didn’t know what to do.
“Eeee? Uebo, but without a partner is not fun at all~” Junno interfered with a happy face. “So, Kame-chan, let’s go and…”
“Jin can join Kame!” Ueda quickly interrupted his friend, afraid that Junno might suggest other things than what he had planned. “Yeah, the two of you can dance pretty good, so… go there and rock the dance floor!” he nudged Jin and looked at Kazuya who seemed petrified.
And Jin didn’t look that well either, his eyes widened and his breath caught in his throat. The night had gone well until this point. Jin didn’t want to ruin it more than it was necessary. “No, I think I’ll pass.” He said, smiling while watching Ueda into his eyes. “I don’t really like this song.” He shrugged, trying to appear innocent.
“Yeah, riiiiiight!” Ueda sighed and looked accusingly at the pair. “If you’re that afraid of dancing, you simply have to say it. We can all understand… well, fears.” He continued, leaning back and looking at the ceiling. “Though I never thought that I have friends that are afraid of dancing. Really, dancing!” he looked at Maru and Junno who laughed while Kazuya tried to make himself smaller and smaller.
“I’ll dance with Kazuya.” Koki suddenly announced, leaving Ueda stone-shocked.
And that was all that Jin needed to grab Kazuya’s hand and to drag him towards the dance floor. He stopped only when they were in the middle of it, hidden by other dancing bodies from the eyes of Kazuya’s friends. He gulped, realizing what he had done and quickly released Kazuya’s hand, turning to look at him. He smiled apologetic and stretched out his hand, inviting Kazuya to join him and dance with him.
The younger looked back and gulped too. If he had known Koki would say something like that, he would have definitely stopped him because now he was with Jin and he was supposed to dance with him. Well, he couldn’t go back to his friends so he had no choice but to do it. So he took his hand and began to move, letting the music fill his body, sway it and take if far away, the beat being the only sound that could make him move on. He soon forgot about the person he was dancing with and he got closer, moving his body, rolling his hips and shaking his whole being as the beat and the voice got to the highest peak, making him feel like he was somewhere up and all that was coming was the great fall.
Jin was also lost in the music, but he was more aware of the person dancing with him. God, how much time had passed since he last felt Kazuya this close to him? He didn’t know the exact time, but he could bet that it had been an eternity. He missed being like this, he missed feeling Kazuya’s body moving against his own. Their bodies were swaying together to the loud music, dancing, touching, ravishing, Jin couldn’t put a name to it. He felt intoxicated, he felt like he couldn’t breathe but in the same time, he felt like he had just received a new reason to live. Oh, and he could definitely spend his life like this. He wouldn’t mind if time stopped there and he and Kazuya would remain on the dance floor forever, never to be apart.
He knew it was just a wishful thinking but this made him stronger and it gave him the power to go on and shut his mouth when he felt like screaming loud. This was the only thing he had left, but being here and dancing together with Kazuya, all that happened seemed like a bad dream and Jin was almost sure that he had just woken up from it and this was the reality.
But the song ended and with it so was Jin’s dream world.
Kazuya slowly came back to his senses, opened his eyes and saw Jin. He smiled and stopped his body from dancing. He mouthed the word ‘thanks’ and he turned to leave as another song was making its entrance. It was a slow one, more like blues. But Jin grabbed his hand again and swirled him around, Kazuya landing in his arms.
“The code requires you to dance two songs with me.” He said with a smile, not really caring anymore about consequences or stuff like that. He was already drunk on Kazuya and this was the only thing on his mind.
Kazuya’s eyes sparkled for a moment before a smug smile appeared on his face. “I never heard about this code before.” He replied, but nonetheless began to sway with Jin, wondering why it felt that good to be held by him.
“Come on, it’s a very old rule!” Jin exclaimed, starting to be his own self again. Somehow, it seemed to get harder and harder for him to act normally around Kazuya so it was a relief that, at least for now, he was getting rid of his insecurities that he didn’t know he had. “Everybody knows it!” he rolled his eyes, like it was common sense to know such a thing.
“Yeah, right.” Kazuya threw his head back laughing. “What other codes should I know?” he then teased, slipping his hands over Jin’s shoulders and around his neck while Jin’s hands circled his waist.
“Well…” Jin trailed off, thinking for a moment. “Never kiss from the first date, brush your teeth after every meal, sleep at least six hours a day…” he chuckled because he had just started to say every thing that crossed his mind.
“That’s probably common sense, Jin.” Kazuya stuck out his tongue and detached himself a little from him. “And since when do you believe in codes anyway?” he then asked, curiosity in his voice.
“Since it brought you here with me.” Jin replied honestly, looking into Kazuya’s eyes and perfectly aware that this simple sentence will change once again everything between them. But this was the second time they met, maybe fate really wanted them together. Then again, Jin had never believed in fate either, but he was willing to believe even in God if that meant that Kazuya will be again his. “I really missed you, Kazuya.” He added, talking slow and carefully, not wanting to scare the younger but not wanting to back away either.
Although he somehow was expecting this, Kazuya still froze hearing Jin’s words. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to hear them, it was more like he wanted but he was afraid of them. Because words are always lying, especially Jin’s words. And yet… he always finds himself wanting to hear more from him, wanting to be lied more and more until nothing of him matters. When such a need had been born in him, Kazuya wasn’t sure. But now he still froze and his heart still beat faster.
“It didn’t seem like this.” He replied, swaying his body, but not feeling the music anymore.
Jin laughed, a little embarrassed but still relieved that Kazuya hadn’t run away from him yet. “Well…” he laughed again, not knowing what to say or how to explain. In the end, he settled for the truth. He sighed but did not avert his eyes from Kazuya’s. “I really did miss you. But I wanted to keep my promise and not come close to you. I just… wanted to know that you’re happy. Even without me.” He confessed, blushing and suddenly feeling like he was burning.
“You stayed away from me because of your pride not because you wanted to know I’m happy.” Kazuya replied and his voice seemed bitter. “You made that promise out of pride.” He then added, lowering his head.
Jin laughed again, but this time it was as bitter as Kazuya’s voice. Why did he expect anything else? It was no use with Kazuya. “It doesn’t matter.” He said instead of all the things he really wanted to. “You will never believe me, no matter what I say.” Jin continued, but his voice seemed now to be breaking. “I know that I have no right to have your trust, but…” he stopped, suddenly not wanting to say anymore more.
Kazuya hated this Jin. This coward and running Jin… he totally hated it. If he wants to say something, then he better say it! Kazuya wanted to say all of this, but what use? For what?! It wasn’t like they were lovers - or will ever be - it wasn’t like they meant something to each other beside addiction and obsession. They were better off without each other, they were better not knowing anything of the other. Because each time they meet, they will only hurt.
“It’s not my fault, Jin.” He began, looking up to Jin. “All I ever wanted was drugs. It’s true, I came to you… but you should have kept that as a one-night-stand. I didn’t ask you to get involved with me…” he continued, though his voice trailed off somewhere. “I’m sorry.” He suddenly said, feeling indeed sorry.
Jin just answered with a hug, tightening his hold on Kazuya with each passing second. “I know it’s my fault. And I’m not asking you anything, not even to believe me.” He confessed, even if he felt like he was breaking inside. He was vulnerable and he hated it. He hated to be like this and he needed to stop being so pathetic, so clingy and needy. “I wanted to tell you that I’m glad I met you. You changed me and made me see a lot of things that I couldn’t before. And…” he stopped and detached himself from Kazuya a little to look again into his brown orbs, “Thanks.” He smiled, a genuine and grateful one.
“It’s funny.” Kazuya chuckled. “I’m saying sorry and you are saying thanks. We’re like the total opposites.” He continued and let his head fall onto Jin’s shoulder. Wasn’t this song ending once and for all? He wasn’t sure what he wanted to say anymore or if he had anything to say at all.
“Well, they do say opposites attract. Maybe that’s why I was attracted to you from the first time I saw you.” Jin gave a low laugh, inhaling Kazuya’s scent and feeling the softness of his hair.
“Yeah, back then you really had bad-ass charm.” Kazuya agreed, shivering at the warm breath that tickled his nape. “And I being the innocent I am, I had to be attracted to the big and bad wolf named Jin…” the younger continued, a goofy smile on his face, knowing perfectly the real story of their first meeting. And it wasn’t a Cinderella like encounter.
“Hey, I still have a bad-ass charm!” Jin pouted, even if he couldn’t help a laughter. His hands tightened their hold around Kazuya’s body, the music continuing to lead both of them towards something that Jin didn’t know what it was, but it promised to be something better than the last couple of months, so he was decided to let himself fall.
After all, what more could he lose?
“I can still charm anyone around me with just one look.” He stated proudly, puffing his chest. “And you should know that the best.” He pouted again, feeling like a child that wanted to be recognized and in the same time like an adult that was being underestimated.
“Don’t kid yourself, Jin.” Kazuya stuck out his tongue, his eyes sparkling with delight. “It’s me who can charm anyone around with just one look.” He then added, battling his eyelashes as if to demonstrate this. “You just had the bad-ass charm. Now, with me, you lost it because I ate your charm.” He laughed, not really realizing what he was saying. Maybe his mind was taken by Jin’s perfume or maybe he was just drunk with the man that kept swirling him through the dancing crowd.
“You ate my charm?” Jin laughed, amused by the younger’s choice of words. Kazuya nodded fervently. “Then… maybe I should demonstrate you that I haven’t lost anything…” Jin whispered in his ear, gluing their bodies a little more, like it was just an innocent move demanded by the slow music.
The boy trembled a little at the whisper and the closer contact of their bodies, but kept his cool. “And how can you do that?” he provoked before he could really think of the consequences. Not that he was thinking of them at all, he was simply enjoying himself. Flirting, dancing and goofing around - what he liked to do best when he was out in a club.
“Hmm….” Jin seemed to be thinking for a few seconds. He detached himself from Kazuya to look again in his eyes, this time a small distance remaining between their bodies. “I can show you I can still charm anyone.” He replied, his eyes innocent but his smirk betraying his real thoughts. “And I’ll give you the pleasure to choose the person.” He added teasingly. “Look around you and select a person who you think will resist me.” He got close yet again, whispering in his ear with the same slow and low voice, seducing and alluring.
“You want me to choose someone?” Kazuya asked, not really hiding his surprise. “Then… how about Koki?” he suggested innocently, perfectly knowing that the two of them don’t get along at all. He moved his body closer to Jin, moving it slowly and teasingly, while his lips were curved into a sadistic smile. “I’m sure there’s no problem with him, right?” Kazuya whispered, close to Jin’s lips, his warm breath tickling it. Jin shouldn’t have told Kazuya to pick someone, Jin should have just shut up and show it to Kazuya, not anyone else - at least that’s what the younger thought at first, but now… well, he’s just taking a small revenge on Jin.
“Sure, there’s no problem.” Jin replied, his brows furrowed because he had been thinking at the same thing - that Kazuya will choose himself. Well, at least Jin had hoped to hear him say so. But Koki… Koki would be a problem and not because he was a challenge for Jin, not at all. But because Jin hated his guts and wanted to see him dead since the night he saw him acting so friendly with Kazuya. “If you want us to fight, seeing as we get along sooo well.” He continued, a laughter in his voice. His eyes were dancing from Kazuya’s eyes to his lips, not being able to concentrate on either of them. He wanted to kiss the younger but if he did so, he should also expect a punch in return. He wanted to go away and be alone, but then he would punch himself for leaving Kazuya. He gulped, his eyes now fixed on Kazuya’s mouth. “I had someone else in mind, to be honest.” Jin added with a husky voice, licking his lips and breathing harder.
Kazuya’s smile widened even more, seeing what effects his closeness brought to Jin. Teasingly, he slid the tongue over the corner of his lips, as if involuntarily, like he was thinking of something. “Mhm…” Kazuya made a moan-like sound before letting his head fall back laughing. “You’re so easy to tease, Jin.” He turned his attention on Jin. “You thought of me, right?” he then added with an innocent smile. “I’m the one charming you, Jin… you still have a long way to charm me, baby.” Kazuya whispered again close to his lips, his eyes boring into the older one’s.
“Maybe.” Jin smirked, not wanting to back down not even an inch. “Or maybe I was the one making you think that so that you’ll fall into my trap.” He added confidently, leaning now closer to Kazuya, wanting to kiss him finally. In a split of a second, he changed his mind and moved his head a little so that his lips fell on the corner of Kazuya’s mouth. “Or maybe I like being charmed by you, by your blunt and mysterious ways.” He continued, his lips still touching Kazuya’s skin, his hot breath tickling the younger and giving him shivers.
“I think it’s the latter.” Kazuya replied with a whisper while a contented smile spread on his lips. “I charmed you totally, Jin.” He continued, moving his head so that their lips were once again facing each other. “But you’re in luck tonight.” He added, his teasing tongue slowly poking from his lips to lick them and in the same time, Jin’s lips too. “You almost kissed me and the song is ending.” He detached from the older’s arms, only their fingers barely touching now. “And you managed to escape my trap.” He added before finally parting with him. He didn’t look back as he got lost into the dancing crowd.
“Nice. Very nice.” Jin murmured for himself, annoyed at himself for letting Kazuya escape - he couldn’t help it, it had been too late when he noticed him and then he was gone from his sight - and annoyed at Kazuya for leaving him like this. He sighed and ignored the looks that the others were throwing him because he was just standing in the middle of the dance floor without moving. Jin sighed again and finally started moving, but not heading to their table but to the bathroom.
He couldn’t face Kazuya right now when he knew he would ravish him on the table if no one stops him. He had to calm down a little and then show a happy face, like he hadn’t been horny a few minutes ago and everything was perfect and pigs could fly. He snorted, making way through the crowd and locking himself in the bathroom for five minutes to wash his face and sober a little until he finally returned to the others, smiling embarrassed.
“Sorry I’m late.” He excused himself, looking more at Ueda because he was the one with whom he felt most comfortable and free to be himself.
“It’s okay!” Junno happily said, his cheeks redder now. Apparently, he had drunk some more meanwhile. “Kame said that you’ll be late~” he added while cheering once more with Maru who also seemed to be drunk.
Kazuya was talking with Koki and barely spared a glance to Jin, but without a doubt, he had a smug smile on his face. Ueda noticed this and leaned forward to Jin. “Did something happen? Our turtle was humming and dancing when he came back.” He whispered to Jin, curiosity in his voice.
“Um, yeah…” Jin admitted, a little bit nervous to be telling this to Ueda as he didn’t know if the older would tell anything of this to Kazuya. “We talked and… everything seemed to be fine for a moment.” he started thinking, somehow intrigued by what happened. “I really don’t know what to think anymore…” he sighed, letting his head fall back on the couch, his body slumped next to Ueda. “I don’t know if he wants to talk with me again or just ignore me as he’s doing right now.” He pouted, crossing his arms and lowering himself even more.
Ueda laughed and patted Jin on the head, as if he was a little and troubled child. “He’s not ignoring you right now. He’s teasing you.” He said to him, his eyes dancing maliciously. “I’ve known Kame for two years now and I can tell when he wants to ignore someone and right now, he’s not doing this.” He continued, now looking at the laughing Kazuya and Koki. “If he were to ignore you, trust me, you would have felt it. Plus, he’s watching you from time to time.” Ueda didn’t know why he was telling all of this to Jin, but he liked the guy and beside, the sex with him was great. Also, Kazuya too seemed to have some interest in Jin, so he wasn’t wrong if he tried to get those two together, right?
“He should know better that I don’t like to be teased.” Jin continued to pout, half-wanting to believe in Ueda’s cheering, but the other half was still convinced that he still doesn’t have a chance with Kazuya. “Nee…” he said then, getting closer to Ueda to whisper in his ear what he wanted to do. “Come with me to order get some new drinks.” Jin proposed, decided to not let his eyes waver to where Kazuya was still laughing with Koki. He really hated that guy. “I’m not even tipsy enough.” He then added, as if this reason was enough to convince Ueda to leave the others and come with him.
Ueda laughed, getting the point Jin was aiming for. “Sure thing.” He quickly agreed and rose in the same time with Jin. “You want only drinks?” he leaned forward to whisper in Jin’s ear, watching Kazuya from the corner of his eye. Pin-pon! Kazuya was carefully listening to Koki’s chat, but Ueda knew better - his body was so stiff in concentration that surely Koki wasn’t telling the most interesting story that had Kazuya that entranced. He was definitely paying attention to something else. “He’s aware.” Ueda said to Jin, a low chuckle in his voice.
Jin also looked at Kazuya, catching him glancing at them but pretending to not see them at all. Was it because Kazuya was worried that he’ll do something to Ueda? No, it couldn’t be, he had met with Ueda so many times now and he was sure that the younger was aware of it, it’s not like Ueda had wanted to hide it. Then maybe… Kazuya was jealous? Only this thought made Jin’s heart beat faster and a smirk appeared on his face exactly in the moment the younger turned his head again. He confronted his gaze, not wavering at all and wanting to say that he can charm whoever he wants, exactly how he had said earlier when they were dancing.
Kazuya stared back and raised his chin as if in defiance. He caught the glimpse of smugness in the other’s eyes and he smirked back. Like you’ll have my charm. He mouthed before turning his attention back to Koki and grabbing his friend by hand, talking passionately about something. Koki’s face lighted when Kazuya told him something and he laughed and covered his hand with his. Kazuya tilted his head and met Jin’s eyes again. See, told you. He seemed to tell with a big grin and a wink.
Jin’s eyes darkened for a moment but the club’s light was hiding the anger that made him boil and want to strangle a certain someone. The smirk didn’t disappear from his lips, almost like it was automatic, and he just shrugged a little, not wanting to let Kazuya know that Jin was indeed the one trapped by his charm - even if it was a bit pointless because Kazuya had to be aware of the fact that Jin once told him that he loved him. And that he still did.
“Guys, we’ll be right back.” Ueda finally said and pushed Jin forward, quickly disappearing from the others’ sight to avoid any further questions.
Kazuya looked after them and almost snorted. Since when did Ueda and Jin become such good friends, he couldn’t understand, but it was no business of his, right? He sighed and turned to Koki who was looking at him with worry.
“What’s with you and Jin?” he asked again, taking Kazuya by surprise.
“What do you mean?” the younger replied, sipping from his glass and avoiding his friend’s gaze.
“You haven’t interacted at all tonight, except for the dance thing.” Koki said, careful at every expression of Kazuya. It had been weird, he thought, seeing the distance between his friend and Jin and also, seeing Ueda that close to the latter.
“Why? Do I have to be glued to him or something?” Kazuya laughed and shrugged. “There’s no need to talk with him if I don’t have a reason, right?” he continued, offering Koki the opportunity to corner him.
“Friends don’t need reasons to talk with each other.” He said quickly, his eyes flickering. “That if you two are friends, of course.” He then added, hoping to catch Kazuya with his eternal lie regarding his relationship with Jin. “He’s not supplying you drugs, is he?” he finally asked the question that he kind of avoided saying it.
“Koki, I told you countless times that me and Jin are simply friends. He’s not like you guys, of course, so it’s not weird for me and him not to talk with each other that much if we meet like this.” Kazuya sighed and let his head fall back on the couch. “Give me a break, Koki, will you?” he said as he sensed the other wanted to say something more. “Jin’s not my drug dealer.” He then added, closing his eyes and thinking that Jin was this but he was much more.
“I’m worried for you, Kazuya.” Koki said and squeezed the younger’s shoulder to make him look at his face.
“I know and I’m sorry.” The younger replied, regret in his voice. “I’m grateful for your care and your friendship, it helps me.” He added and smiled at his friend. “Thank you for being here.” He hugged Koki on instinct, feeling that they rarely got to share such things.
“Heeeey~” Junno interfered, looking like a kicked puppy. “Why are you the only ones hugging? Eee~ we want too!” he goofily said and jumped on Koki and Kazuya on the same time, holding them in a bear hug. “Maru, join too~” he called for the other one who lazily said yes but didn’t join.
It felt good to have friends like this, Kazuya thought as he was being squashed by Junno and Koki’s weight altogether. And that’s how Jin and Ueda found them a couple of seconds later, when they came back with the drinks in their hands. “Well, that seems like fun.” Jin chuckled, honestly amazed by the level of childishness Kazuya and his friends had.
“I’m dyyyying hereeee!!” Kazuya shouted, though his shout was muffled by his and his friends’ laughter. “Move, Koki!” he continued, Junno laughing loudly like a child and climbing even more over the two bodies. “Ouch! Where you’re touching!” the younger laughed and there were tears at the corners of his eyes.
“Junno, gerroff!” Koki’s voice came muffled because his mouth was against Kazuya’s neck and the hot breath of his tickled the younger who laughed some more.
“Jin, I think Kame’s really dying there.” Ueda said, chuckling at the sight. “Let’s break them.” He then added and went for Junno’s big body, grabbing it by the waist and tickling it. “You take Kame!” he said with a laughing voice seeing as Junno began to writhe and scream.
Well, okay, Jin said to himself as he looked at the four of them. He prepared for battle, moving his fingers a little as if to warm them up and grabbed the first thing he saw as being Kazuya’s under the huddle. He managed to catch both of his arms so Jin started to pull him from under the other two boys who still didn’t seem to understand what was happening. But just when he wanted to use more force, Maru seemed to sober up and get up his feet to help them and pull too, Koki falling on the floor because of the movement. And Kazuya… well, Jin was already determined to set him free so when the obstacles disappeared and Jin continued to pull, he fell backwards on the couch, dragging Kazuya above him, hitting their heads together and both groaning in pain.
All’s well when it ends well.
“Moron…” Kazuya murmured, rubbing the throbbing place. He moved a little, his leg slipping between Jin’s ones, now his knee rubbing against Jin’s crotch. He lifted his body and his hand looked for a place to support his weight but finding none, it slipped by the couch and he fell again over Jin, hearing another groan from the older. Kazuya let himself rest over Jin, not daring to move an inch because God knows what he’ll cause next. Whoever saw them, might think they were dead drunk when in fact they simply butt-headed and were now paying the consequences.
“I may be a moron, but I don’t really dislike this position.” Jin whispered at his ear with a chuckle, raising his hands and letting them fall on Kazuya’s waist, as if he wanted to stabilize him and not let him fall again. Well, at least that’s what it looked for others. Or so Jin hoped.
“I can write a list with what you don’t dislike regarding me and positions.” Kazuya whispered back and pushed his knee up, gaining a low groan from Jin. “You’d better keep your hands away or my friends will notice that you have other interest in me than friendship.” He then said and blew some air over Jin’s neck.
“Yeah, like you’re oh-so-innocent.” Jin replied, letting one of his legs fall on the floor, his grip on Kazuya’s waist tightening, squishing the boy in his arms. “Up we go.” He said with a smile, lifting his body up to stand on his butt, Kazuya now standing in his lap. Very comfortably, if Jin may say. Their heads were still close, their breaths entwined and Jin felt his heart beating faster and faster. It was really strange how Kazuya managed to stir up these emotions in him, but Jin had to admit that it had become kind of fun and now he was looking forward to see what new things will Kazuya teach him.
“Look who’s talking. The one who’s lapping me.” Kazuya retorted with a smirk and pushed Jin so that he could distance himself. “You’d better go to Uebo, he might feel lonely.” He added with a wink as he rose from the couch and Jin’s arms, adjusting his messed up clothes.
“Already bored of me?” Jin pouted, following the younger up but instead of cleaning himself, he choose to ruffle his hair even more, stretching a little to wake up his numb nerves. “You’re no fun at all.” he added, crossing his arms and falling back on the couch, prepared to sulk again because he was ignored by Kazuya. Like he had been the whole night.
“Soooorry to disappoint you then.” Kazuya kicked him with a half annoyed, half amused expression on his face. “I’m sure that there are others who find me fun and all.” he added and raised a glass to a person from the dancing crowd who seemed to have been giving him the eye. The girl raised her glass too. “See? She finds me interesting.” He smirked to Jin before gulping down his drink. He was still standing, eyeing in turn the girl and Jin.
“Yeah, of course she finds you interesting. I would find her interesting too, but I think my idea of fun is very different from yours when it’s about other people. Go to her and leave me alone yet again, it’s not like you care or want to be here or…” Jin continued to mumble under his breath, taking advantage of the fact that Kazuya couldn’t hear him. He raised his legs on the couch and bent them, circling them with his arms, hugging them to his chest and still continuing to sulk, puffing out his cheeks.
But before Kazuya could get to say anything, Koki tapped his shoulder lightly and signaled him to move and let him pass. The younger began to laugh seeing as his friend went to the girl he had pointed earlier to Jin. “Looks like you have a very lucky star today.” Kazuya said and sat down next to Jin, smiling. “She dumped me already, so stop sulking.” He said, nudging the older.
Oh, how easy it was to be like this with Jin. Like they were the best buddies or the most secret lovers. If they had met like this from the beginning, maybe now they wouldn’t have been in such weird situation, maybe Kazuya would have allowed himself to believe the words of love Jin professed to him, maybe Kazuya himself would have learnt to love… But there was no use to think things over, to think of ifs or maybes. Because what was done was well done, there was no turning back. Kazuya sighed unheard and filled another glass. He needed one.
