I was stress stress stress all during exams. Typical student life - staying up until 4AM only to get up at 9AM to write your exam. Not studying enough, but still spending your entire day working on school. Exam's finished, and I didn't feel a sense of relief. I received an early birthday card from my Nana and Papa in the mail today. The first oddity was that they put it c/o of my dad, which they never do. Since I thought there might be some sort of special surprise or secret written in the envelope, I left it unopened. My dad opened it for me, and says, "Nope, it's just a card" and tosses it to me. Today, I planned on working on my late assignment for the entire afternoon/evening until I finished it. Instead I did these things:

• Got out of class early
• Went for pizza with Maria
• Met Jess at Soma for coffee
• Hung out with Travis, Maria, Elise and Erin by the Psych T-shirt sale table
• Bought two T-shirts

When I was in English Lit in grade 12, I hated my life. I'd never been so overwhelmed by the amount of work I had to do. While it was one of my favourite subjects, it pushed me to limits I'd never had to reach before. Last night, I had a triple date with wonderful people. We played games all night, and I don't think I've laughed that hard in ages. We played Speakeasy, and also learned some valuable lessons about how men and women communicate in different ways.
