In a casual conversation about apathy, school, and marks, a friend used the term "grade lust". I have never heard something that so perfectly and concisely describes my desire - my need - for scholastic achievement.
On another note, I'm taking a fifth year to finish my Honours degree. I've decided I'd rather do something well than do it quickly. Actually, this is a lie. I don't really have much choice, so in order to avoid cognitive dissonance, I've convinced myself this is a wise decision.
