A phrase that you could only come across in reading for medical school: "A history of nasogastric suction suggests..."
I think it suggests all sorts of things - and none of them are pleasant.

It's a weird thing to prepare for an exam, knowing you're going to bomb it, and not caring, because the grade will just get dropped. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Liberated I suppose? Perhaps I should just fill in all "C's" and then use it as a learning tool (since apparently we can keep our copy)? Oh well.

So it turns out that the guy who started Wonder Woman lived with two women (who were apparently a couple themselves), had children with both of them, believed that women should conquer the world and put all men into "loving bondage", and was totally into actual bondage. Who knew?

There was an Asian woman sitting next to me this morning on the bus, studying a little notepad that had English-Chinese (?Japanese?) translations on it. Just little handwritten columns of random handwritten words in English next to a column of words in characters. I happened to notice the last word on the page she was studying.
