Yesterday and last night two feet of lake effect snow was dumped upon us here in fine Buffalo. Yes, I know it's October, but it happened nonetheless. I want it to be fall so badly. The only time my perfect day can occur is in the fall---cloudy but not going to rain, breezy, on the cool side but not uncomfortable, and lots of colored leaves. I just got back from a run/walk in Forest Lawn Cemetery across the street. I don't visit cemeteries as much as I'd like to. Oddly enough, they give me an overwhelming sense of peace. There's a sense of chaos slowly fading; everything that used to be now disappearing. I guess cemeteries allow me to slow down a little bit. I've never had a cemetery ( Read more... )

I just purchased my very first car, people. It's mine and I'm ridiculously excited. I keep telling people about it, and no one seems to care as much as me. No matter, I can't even wait to get it tomorrow or Tuesday. It's a white 2002 Mazda Protege. It has 57,000 miles on it, is super clean inside and out, and pretty much is the best thing ever.
