I just purchased my very first car, people. It's mine and I'm ridiculously excited. I keep telling people about it, and no one seems to care as much as me. it seems that no one quite cares so much about someone else getting a new car as that person.

let me tell a brief narrative. in the forth grade i told everyone at show and tell that we had gotten a new van. it seemed like a pretty big deal to me at the time. i was waiting for the whole class to be like "whoa, that's toally sweet." but they weren't. they didn't really say anything at all. upon later rumination over that moment, i came to the realization that i wouldn't really give a crap if some other fourth grader told me that his parents got a new station wagon.

anyway. that aside. i am really proud of you for working so hard at getting your car. i mean, you did all kinds of research, asked around, went to dealers and whatnot. you really took your time and found something you wanted. that takes a lot of work. now, with the risk of this turning into a speech from an after school special, i'm going to cut off this promotional.

love you
