The whole thing was amazingly dramatic. The fluke (baby's tail) came out at about 1:20pm yesterday. I spotted it on the webcam on the Aquarium website at about 1:45 and headed straight down to watch. According to the trainers, births generally take place about 2 hours ( Read more... )

Tragic news today. A young man was shot and killed in Northern Thailand. The Thai police officer who shot him claims that he was breaking up a fight between the man and his girlfriend when his gun went off accidentally, shooting the man in his face and stomach and the woman in the chest. 1. As I was walking down Commercial today I passed two big burly biker-looking guys and over heard one say to the other: "If this weather keeps up, I'm going to have to pull out my tuque."
