A new Friday, a new change of scenery. Tamsin had hoped for somewhere else that stocked booze, but thankfully, she'd had the foresight of getting a whole bunch of it from the Restaurant before they moved this morning

While Kanan hadn't had the opportunity to party, exactly, in quite some time, he was all for the idea of getting out and meeting new people. And eating the free food. Kanan was completely on board for free food.
Yes, he still had his blaster on him. There was no way in hell he was leaving his apartment without it when he didn't have to. But hopefully the shirtless look would draw attention away from that?

You know, Kanan might have been ignoring the Force and anything and everything it had to say to him for quite some time, but that didn't mean he didn't know when he was being watched. He was basically hard-wired for that, and his hand even half-twitched toward his blaster while he was turning to look to see who--
He blinked. His hand relaxed again. There would be no shooting of students today, no. Right.
"Can I help you with something?"
Being in a position of authority over somebody that made admiring back into something wholly unacceptable was new to him. He hadn't quite mastered the 'look awkward and pretend it isn't happening' approach, yet.
There's a ton of moddable food on the grill, including vegetarian options, and a small salad bar. Grab a plastic plate and some cutlery and get yourself something to eat. Or pick up some booze; it's there too.
Dante was still pissed off about yesterday - maybe dealing with all the shit Cassandra had said, too. So he went to the party, adults be damned, and went straight for the booze.
Then he picked up a ridiculous amount of meat and settled in somewhere.

Salad was good. Kanan had eaten a lot of salad last week. And burgers? He was getting a pretty good idea of what Earth's idea of a burger was, and those weren't half bad, either. So he split the difference, grabbing a cheeseburger and loading it up with whatever looked like it might go well on a cheeseburger, and filling the rest of his plate up with a little bit of everything else. Less because he was hungry (even if he was), and more because he wanted to familiarize himself with as much of this stuff as he possibly could.
... Also, booze. He was grabbing himself a bottle of some manner of beer while he was there, too.
Hang Out On The BeachfjordicswaggerMay 27 2016, 10:51:28 UTC
Sit down on the sand with your feet and enjoy your view of the water. Play volleyball, if that's more your style. Or go swimming. You can't go far, courtesy of that dome, but there's still plenty of room.
Re: Hang Out On The BeachfurnacefaceMay 27 2016, 12:01:35 UTC
Guitar in hand, Jono staked out a spot on the beach that was sort of away to the side of whatever was going on in the water or by the grills. It wasn't that he was being antisocial, necessarily. It was just that he was far less likely to get sand kicked on him if he had some distance from any potential volleyball games.
Honest.
Anyway, he was quite content to just sit there and play whatever he felt like playing and leave all of the 'beach fun' to everybody else. If that meant he was mostly playing acoustic reinterpretations of early 90s grunge... well...
Look, he'd take requests. But he wasn't going to sing.

The music was unfamiliar, and perhaps not quite to her taste, but Lucille enjoyed that someone played an instrument rather than relying on recorded music.
"Good evening," she greeted Mr Starmore. "Please, don't let me interrupt." She looked around and found a spot nearby to sit down.

//Evening, Lucille,// Jono replied, giving a warm little nod and finishing his rendition of Layla before tilting his head in consideration and starting to play something a little (a lot) more sedate. //How're you tonight? Enjoying the party?//

"They hibernate in the sewers and every few years they show up to give me a headache," Tamsin said, rolling her eyes. "Wow, they really went to town on your etiquette training, didn't they?"
Re: Talk to the HostessfracknotfrakMay 27 2016, 18:32:01 UTC
"We have etiquette training in the station?" Vic asked as she popped open another beer. "News to me. So is there anything the troopers need to do? Fumigate? Kill 'em? Get a new set of boots with alligator hide?"

It was a compromise.

Yes, he was a teacher. So what? She could still admire.

And only then did he enjoy his burger.

Kanan was coming over and finding a seat for himself not far off, giving Wash a nod of his head.
"Look, this food isn't moving."
It was in a sort of horrifying combination of 'burger and other random things from the table' on Kanan's plate, but it wasn't moving.
