Zoe was still in a good mood as she went up to the mic, thank you very much well-behaved students. "Good evening, everyone. I have the honor of announcing this year's Homecoming Court. Your freshman king and queen are Butters Stotch and Daenerys Targaryen. Your sophomore king is a five-way tie between Billy Kaplan, Bobby McCallister, William Murdoch, Dave Nelson, and Peter Wiggin, and your sophomore queen is Rilla Blythe. Your junior king and queen are Luke Castellan and Petra West. And your Homecoming King and Queen are Bruce Wayne and Quinn Fabray. Congratulations, all of you."

Oh, well, Luke wasn't expecting that at all. But he wasn't about to complain, not when sweet crowns were involved.

In her heels she was about six-three. Just for reference.

And that made her taller than him by about two inches. Suddenly Luke knew how Percy felt when they were standing next to each other.

Luke didn't seem too bothered by it though. He smiled back at Petra and offered her his arm. "That's right. Have to fulfill our Homecoming court duties. I'd hate to have my crown taken away."

Petra took his arm and informed him, "They can have my crown when they pry it from my cold dead hands. It's going right next to my Miss Rhode Island crown, it's gonna be awesome."

"Oh, yeah, I always forget people here don't know about that." Petra waved it off, not wanting to seem braggy. "It's no big. But the crown is cool. And now I have two!"

"Thank you," he said. "I'll try not to step on your toes but I've never danced with anybody taller than me before so I might not be as smooth as I usually am."
