"As long as it's slow I'm not too bad," Dave said, taking her hand and then trying to lead. "But anything fast and I look pretty silly."

"Well, other than Justin Bieber, most of the fast music has not been my favourite," Rilla admitted, following Dave's lead.

He knew his time was probably up, but he wasn't going to stop dancing until someone cut in to take their turn.

"I can see why you'd resort to dancing, then," Dave said. "As long as you're able to keep yourself entertained, I guess that's the important thing."

"It's certainly more fun that pulling taffy," Rilla said.

"I've pulled taffy a few times. It's not that bad. I mean, dancing is better, but not by that much," Dave said. Of course, he was a teenage boy. Dancing didn't generally rate terribly high anyway.

"Pulling taffy is what the minister's children end up doing because they aren't allowed to dance," Rilla explained.
