The buffet tables were set up with all the standard breakfast fare: scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes and French toast, sausage, bacon, and ham. One of the NPC servers was manning the grill for any custom omelet orders

After Wilson had insisted for the umpteenth time that he was well enough to go a brunch, and he wanted to get out for a bit and meet some people, damn it, Aziraphale relented. Bundling the young doctor in warm clothes (and hoping in the mild weather it wasn't noticed that his own winter coat had gone missing), the angel accompanied Wilson down to the diner and settled him at a table.
"I won't be but a moment," he assured the other man, and headed off to get the cheese and tomato omelet and hashbrowns that the young doctor had requested.
On his way, he offered a friendly smile and nod for the young man who appeared to be running the place.

Eventually it would sink in that the angel wasn't wearing his winter coat, if for no other reason than the fact that the angel looked damn good in that coat!
For the moment, however, Wilson was content to sit at the table and watch as Phale gathered up some of their favorite brunch time yummies. He smiled when his lover returned with the omelet and hashbrowns and a cup of coffee.
"Coffee!" Wilson gleed with genuine joy. He'd been on a no coffee diet for almost a week and was jonesing.

The angel had his own omelet, as well as a crumpet and jam, and the ubiquitous cup of tea. He laughed softly at Wilson's reaction, and set the cup of coffee in front of the man.
"I would have expected that sort of response to a real meal, but I should have known you'd reserve it for the coffee instead," he chuckled. "Now, love, take it easy, and don't go flitting about the place trying to socialize with everyone you see."
Yep, Aziraphale was feeling a wee bit on the protective side. Imagine that.

"Er...could you possibly sing something for me? An Etta James song?"
